We were in the market for a large 3 row SUV. I wanted to consider the new Traverse but my wife was not having it. We leased a 2019 Traverse and she hated it. No major issues but a bunch of bad design choices that made living with it, awful. We ended up going with a Grand Highlander Hybrid Platinum. Absolutely no regrets.

Thanks for watching. The new design is way better imo. But I’m also a BIG fan of the grand Highlander and I’d get the hybrid platinum myself!

My issue with the GH was the curtain airbag recall and a host of other known electronic issues. Ive also seen some leaks around the sunroof too. I wanted to love it so badly but the issues made me go traverse

@@realmomcartoursyea super concerning. But glad the came with a fix. I’ve then seen some dealerships really fudge up the fix with liners not tucked in properly or a pillers scratched. I honestly expected more from Toyota. Granted I not saying traverse is perfect either but each car has their pros and cons.

Thought about the Traverse for a quick minute. I’m not a fan of buying first year models. Went with a Palisade Calligraphy instead Steel Graphite instead. So far, very happy. Had an Explorer ST prior, lots of quality issues.

Thank you. I was deciding between these 2. I will go with the pallisade as well, but I will wait for the 26 model for the hybrid. Usually I won't do 1st year models, but I honestly can't wait till it comes out

@@realmomcartourslol no worries I just wanted to make sure. I picked up our 2025 traverse and have been watching videos recently this is a phenomenal review regardless and they didn’t change anything between the 2 years. My major grip with the car is the gear shifter I am used to the order style gear shifter and think this new tech can be a bit confusing … what is your opinion on that? Or it’s easy to get used too?

We purchased a 2024 Hyundai palisade in August and I ended up really disliking that it had almost no comforts (memory seat, 360 cameras…etc) After taxes and all it was $50k I feel like it should have had more for the price. I know the higher trims have these things but I personally liked the sporty all blacked out look of the XRT but you can’t get that in higher levels except the night shade edition I believe and I wasn’t trying to be car poor so we went with it. We traded after a month for a 2024 Chevy Traverse RS and so far I really am happy we upgraded! It has more room + features than the palisade and the seats are far more comfortable. The engine is one that they are already using in their trucks so it isn’t new per say. My husband specifically asked about the motor as well as the car being easy to work on for a DIY mechanic as he usually does all of our oils changes and what not at home. It was the right choice for our family.

Love this feedback. I think you make great points. Happy to hear the Traverse RS is perfect for your family! Keep us updated on all things mechanic as your car ages. Would love to hear about that engine in a few years.
