Around this time of year, I always looked forward to all of the Christmas specials on TV as they put me in the Christmas spirit. It is sad that they are no longer a thing.

Andy's regular cast member, RG Brown, worked in Canada, in the 1970s, on the children's show "Monkey Bars", and on the variety show "Julie" (starring Julie Amato).

Note that none of the commercials are in color since this was broadcast in 1962 and not many homes had color yet.

57:30 - Among the writers were the duo of Bill Persky & Sam Denoff. They would cross over from variety to sitcoms with "The Dick Van Dyke Show", followed by "That Girl" and several others.

I was a big Christies fan, even at age 13 when this aired, although I never saw it before now. Had SUCH a crush on Barry Kane. I even had the album, Barry & Barry Here and Now (with Barry McGuire)), that came before either one was in the Christies. I think Art Podell produced it.

Okay, Bette Davis was a good actress, but embarrassed herself on this show. Times were not that much better back then. People forget.
