One technical note: the Manticore could not benefit from the Advance in Formation order when it retreated. Because this order only works when moving normally, not when retreating or running

I'd been mostly ignoring the actual boons from the mystical terrain, seeing the main utility of that ability as making things overgrown - but given the various mystical options, and the fact that Belthanos isn't restricted to using the ability only once so can boost other terrain pieces with other abilities as needed, he might be worryingly flexible as an ally given the sheer strength of his warscroll. Lumineth will appreciate a +1 to cast, and the other abilities all have uses. Also, he isn't on a beetle. It's a planthopper, and that seems quite deliberate since the model has a proboscis (which bugs have and beetles don't). It's definitely an unexpected choice, but I can imagine taxonomically-inclined sculptors pulling their hair out: they finally gave Sylvaneth a literal bug, and it's the only insect no one calls a bug...

I really love the narrating/explaining voice with the rules shown during the fight - as I want to start playing WH it helps me A LOT! The only thing is that using just the bird-eye view is a bit confusing for a noob like me who doesn't know the armies that well - especially if one army is not painted and it looks like a black blob from the "sky". But overall great video, thanks a lot!

Of course the Prime went down. Every time I put a new and awesome centerpiece on the table it gets blasted before it gets a chance to go off. It's a right of passage for the mini. Fantastic conversion, Ridge.

Man, I used to have a city of sigmar army that I loved but just couldn't make work. So I converted the whole army to a soul blight gravelords army and have been very happy with it. But now, do I start a new cities army? What a dilemma.... Great game anyway you guys!

As someone who is just learning AoS, these battle reports are awesome to watch! That being said, it's kind of a detractor to see multiple armies used that clearly have little effort put into the hobby aspect of the game. :(

It's mainly dry brushing pink and blue over black in spots and then flicking white paint over it for the galaxy stuff, it's super easy!

Command Corp Sawbones can do 3d3 heals to the same unit as per the Core Rules FAQ as it doesn’t say “different unit”

Thats not true? You can only use this ability while this unit has a War Surgeon. At the end of your hero phase, you can pick up to 3 friendly CITIES OF SIGMAR HUMAN units wholly within 12" of this unit. For each unit picked, you can either heal up to D3 wounds allocated to that unit or, if no wounds have been allocated to that unit, you can return a number of slain models to it that have a combined Wounds characteristic of D3 or less. You cant pick the same unit multiple times

He explained it. Its to turn one of the terrain pieces Mythical which grants a +1 on prayers. So pontifexes prayers become +2 instead of +3

do you think cities gonna be competitive? i think gonna be middle tier,its true have tier S scrolls as hammerers or executioners. but dont have any special to get to the top,can have a alpha strike cavalry with misthaven but ironjawz alpha strike is better and where is ironjawz? fusilers damage is VERY LOW for their cost and they arent eficient as damage unit and must have the mortal wounds spell that isnt relyably and easy to cancell,they are good as suports but not as damage. the melle bombs as corsairs buffed,hammerers or executioners as we know for experience arent competitive due to be slow( we have many examples as thralls,chaos warriors,chosens,etc of many great scrolls of melle units that arent competitive) in general as a very competitive player that spend many time studing every book,numbers etc in my opinion citys have very good scrolls and tools but dont have nothing special to do it top tier and gonna stay as a good middle tier army. as competiive channel and players whats your opinion?

So on their own each unit is rather middling like the Freeguild Fusiliers but when humans work together stacking aura effects and buffs into thematic lists they suddenly turn into a strong competitive list

@@Airdeis yes,the problem is that is very random and dont reliably these buffs and auras,and so it isnt competitive, because you wont win 5 games with unreliably stuff. spells that can faill or be canceled and chants with 40% chace to miss and if those faill the units are bad
