I like the look of this new EV and if it’s as dependable as my current car, this could be on my list. A good, honest and functional car with a bit of character. Exactly! We've had a Kia e-Niro for over 5 years now and charge it to 80% once a week for most of the year. Before a long haul we charge to 100%, drive for 2 to 3 hours and plug in again, only been below 20% SOC once on a long haul. Some friends here in France have a 2017 Hyundai Ioniq from new, with the 28 kWh battery...so range is half ours but it hasn't stopped them driving all over France in it. Any sensible person needs a break from driving after 2 hours and with a small battery you are soon set to go again with another 200 km of range...our real world experience is that 'range anxiety' is something that non-EV drivers have. 😊

Good attempt by Stellantis at affordable EV. Rear space limited by hybrid ICE chassis (stellantis still hedging it bets on EVs). Battery cooling/heating all important for battery longevity, does it have any? Needs a heat pump for me as i live in North Scotland. Warrany?, If only three years then very poor by modern standards. Insurance group? Cost of servicing? Chinese EVs still look better value in my opinion.

As range seems to be the #1, #2, and #3 thing so many people are concerned about when considering an EV, why aren't tyres skinnier, why isn't the body aerodynamic, why aren't there roll-up windows, why is there any "air conditioner" at all? Why isn't more effort put into solar panels on every flat surface? Where's the "spartan" version of every one of these models? Because that would interest me a lot more than decorative "chevrons".
@ISuperTed7 ай бұрын
As an e208 driver (company car) I’ll definitely have a good look at one of these when my lease comes up for renewal. It looks similar sized to the Peugeot but a bit more basic with slightly less range. My e208 does about 15-17 KWh per 100km in the real world So I doubt 12-13 you’re getting on the test will be real life. Against that it’s £10k cheaper! Do like the Blue colour but the Silver/Grey looks nice too. Let’s hope they keep them under £25k here in the UK, otherwise it’s nudging into MG4 territory. Now if they could do a sub £20k stripped out version it would be very popular and make the Dacia Spring look dated already.

The price is great but not even this will persuade me back to the Citroen brand. I drive an electric car in a mainly urban setting but can confidently do long distance motorway/country driving occasionally without the fear of range anxiety. I guess, the Citroen e3's 199 miles range, from experience will be severely reduced in winter without a heat pump. I know the Kia EV 3 is targeting a different customer base, but it seems a so much more complete vehicle with a range of 300 miles plus. If the price is competitive, I'd go for the Kia EV3. A great review though. Thank you.

The previous C3 did look quite interesting and stylish with a Citroen quirkiness you expect. This one does look quite a bit more dull, even the slightly fun colors dont help in my opinion. Citroen regained some of their quirkiness of the 1960 to the 1980s in the 2000s and 2010s, it seems like its slowly waining again unfortunately, looking at this very safe design.

This car is ultimately an Indian market crossover that has been in production for a few years now, with a cheaper 29kWh LFP battery, and a newly revealed 7 seater Spacetourer; neither of which is available in the European market for at least 18 more months at best. The mind boggles why we're grasping for actual affordable EVs while the EU Commission/Germany are handwringing over cheaper and more competitive EVs from China.
