can you say that the coating is the greatest and define what greatest is?
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 2 ай бұрын
No I cannot say that 😂😂. The greatest I think is all subjective. In terms of ease of use, durability, hydrophobics and price. Have to consider all of those factors in there. As price may be the big factor here which Pan has said on his channel. For the price it rivals professional coatings that are 300-500$. Is it true? Only time will tell. But for the $150 price of a 8 year. I don't think it'll last 8 years as most people polish their car again after 3-4 years and apply a new coating. As long as it last a very long time that's all that matters. There are professional 3 year coatings being sold about $200 a bottle. And they don't last 3 years. I think the greatest is a combination of all. Ease of use, Durability, gloss, hydrophobic, price and last is it accessible to everyone or select few. 👍

I’ve been waiting for a review of Pan’s new detailing products and you did a great job talking about these new products. One question about Pan’s spray polish as compared to the DIY Gold Standard Polish. When using the yellow waffle pad which spray polish cuts faster and which one finishes down better?
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 2 ай бұрын
Thank you John appreciate it 💪💪. I wanted to give as much info as possible on the products and my initial thoughts. So far I'm very impressed. Some people may hate that I said that. But hey it's my opinion and even the customer picked up the vehicle said it all for me. In terms of cut the Pan one I noticed can cut a bit more the the DIY. But the DIY has a longer work time than pans. So all depends what you're looking for. DIY finishes down a tad bit nicer. But again splitting hairs on both. My experience pans does cut a bit better but diy finishes nicer but that's maybe because it's not as aggressive
@larsenttif
@larsenttif 2 ай бұрын
I have to follow up here...I'm mostly used to polishing with things like Sonax, Meguiars, Menzerna, Rupes (tried and true) etc. I tried DIY the other day and noticed the insane working time, but what makes that a positive? I expect the cut will eventually go away and what's left then? Just oils?? And when it comes to Pan's polish, since you say it has a slightly shorter working time, does that mean you should switch to a softer pad earlier, so you get a nicer finish? I notice there is a bit of a learning curve with these polishes that have such an insane working time.
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 2 ай бұрын
@@larsenttif every polish you've named has a learning curve for each one. Just what are you looking by for and works for you. You use meguiars ultimate compound not a lot of cut. Use meguiars 201 a bunch of dust its dust season and hazy finish. Menzerna or even Sonax perfect finish very oily one of those products where a panel wipe is needed at least twice to ensure you remove polishing oils. Rupes another brand they have great stuff too. But to tell me you sell a rotary only polish and DA only polish? You've never questioned that. But eventually they invent uno to work on all machines... 😂😂. My thing is here every polish will have their drawbacks and their own learning curve. Yes with the shorter work time of Pan it does cut more than the DIY. But to say switch to a softer pad earlier I wouldn't use it like the diy one. I would personally wipe off and switch pad with the same polish because again the work time in my opinion. Or what I have noticed use two sprays will give use double the work time switch pads and add polish to the pad and continue because now you have the lubrication. All we can do here is try. These polishes aren't made to be the best at every situation. Heavy neglected car I'll use a true compound and my 2nd step and finish I can just use this instead of 3 different polishes for each step. It's all preference is what I am saying... Overall the DIY polish and Pans polish are great for 90% of your detailing jobs if you aren't doing disaster details or perfect paint correction.
@larsenttif

@@DetailingMadeSimple Thanks for a good answer. So in your opinion the gold standard is more suited for 1,5 step type of polishing?
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 2 ай бұрын
@@larsenttif glad to answer any question. yes depending on how aggressive and results you are trying to achieve. On medium to soft paint easily this can cut like a compound with a wool pad and just finish with your one step pad of choice. You’ll get great results. Practically all you need. On harder paint systems just a dedicated heavy cut compound and one step with this after. 👍

Great job as always Soc! The final result was simply beautiful. One of the questions I have on the Clean products would be the self cleaning and dust repelent capabilities. I am interested in the ceramic spray. I use Sonax brillant detailer. The reason I like it is due to its anti static properies. Since using it, I do not have dust build up in the sealnt like I experienced with other spray sealants. If I did get dust from driving through construction sites, the rain easily rinsed it off. I didnt always have that with other products. I am curious if Pans product will do the same. I look forward to your reviews. Keep up the great work!!

Thank you Melvin 💪🙏. Car came out amazing!!! Sure I can answer your question sonax brilliant detailer is just that really a detailer. Just like paint gloss from p and s they have very great anti static properties. So far with Clean ceramic sealant yes you get a little bit of dust just like most top performing sealants. The sealant is meant to a durable protection where silica and polymers help attract dust depending on the quality used. Trust me this doesn't attract crazy dust like. @@gtileo sure. This used to cost $200 a little over 2 years ago. Now it’s $300. It’s a good cheap polisher but definitely if you have makita batteries laying around it’s worth the price. How does pans coating compares to diy detail 3 year, 5 year, 8 year and c6 hydro lite? Does pans coating has more gloss and hydrophobics?
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 2 ай бұрын
@@alvin3502 kind of hard to judge. Gloss is a bit subjective. I found that the C6 Hydrolite is my favorite out of all the diy line up. I’ll start there. Now comparing c6 to Pan 8 year coating or even 3 year. Hydrolite has amazing easy user feel like it’s spreads easier than pans. Great gloss. Amazing Hydrophobics. Downside is the cost and strong solvent smell. Pans coating says it’s a 8 year, great gloss, smells amazing and amazing Hydrophobics. All though we are only on week 3 so still very early. Great pro vs Hydrolite it is cheaper. At the end of the day the main goal is longevity. How will it be in 2-3 years? So far after 4 months of Hydrolite the Hydrophobics are still astonishing 💪. But for a rated 6 year coating we shouldn’t expect anything less.

@@gtileo gotcha. I mean he always had the best products award for over 7 years. Also doesn’t hurt the influencer or reviewer. If it’s good it’s good. So far it’s working good. Will I say it’s the best of course not. Not yet I’m still running the courses. Yvan and Nick has said their stuff was the best before. Every company has. The best paint protectant, coating etc. No company is going to come out and say they are the 3rd best on the market. C6 ceramics best coating on the market now because less prone to fracturing, ceramic pro best coating can be layered 3 times for ultimate scratch resistance, chemical guys even. 😂 Only time will tell if the products are good. People said the same thing about DIY it hurts credibility because they are a new company how can their products be very good? I was called a schill on my DIY brand review when they came out. @@DetailingMadeSimple I'm sure is products are good and can compete. It's just the blown up hype around them. At the end of the day, all these chemicals have been on the market for some time, and are all relatively the same, besides some tweeks to the formulas to give them different characteristics and attributes. It's like a motor oil, they're all the same base stock, it's just the additive packages that make the oils different and more beneficial in certain applications. What makes me love DIY products is their KZbin channel. The knowledge and simplicity of what they teach and how they use their products. Thank you Becca 💪💪. Glad you enjoyed the thorough explanation just an overall pleasant experience with Pan line up. These are my initial impressions. Yes the DIY pads definitely an upgrade for sure on quality.

Since apparently I am a paid shill. I am still waiting on my check. Nothing came in. I was never asked to make a video at all. Assuming without facts is a dangerous thing in life 😂😂. Maybe take a look at my entire channel I review countless products and do tutorials. If you hate pan that’s on you. It’s just wonderful how out of nowhere a lot of negative comments pop up about myself.
