New cliff experiment in Substance Designer. Step by step tutorial.

I think it's the first time I really do a material from scratch, without following notes, or a precise plan. So you'll see me testing, thinking, making a few mistakes. Tell me if this is the way to go for the next videos. And I can always upload a timelapse video for the pro users. In 10 minutes it'd be done.
With this one I wanted to try different techniques than the ones we're used to see in the best tutorials out there. Plus I wanted to revisit my rock series, to help some of you have another shot with this kind of subject matter.
Right now we're covering only the height information. We could go further on this one if you want it.

Of course! I'm waiting for the second part ^^. I just wanted to say that, also the flat parts that you got and you didn't like is also not a big problem because it could happens also in the reality. But this is also just a matter of taste for everyone. I have an idea if you like, you could make a video showing all the filters you have downloaded like "Dilation or erosion" and explaining what do they do. It could be useful to keep learning and making our work easier for people like me :). Thanks again, Daniel!

Do you have any recommendations for nodes that are already in designer that can be used as substitutes for things like your dilationorerosion nodes, etc?

I think you could do something close with the slopeblur grayscale node. Youy could also try the mosaic node. Nowaydays I tend not to use custom nodes anymore.

I had the second part in mind but couldn't manage to record it. It really is one of the project I'd like to finish someday.
