Good lord! Repipe all those water lines before you flood the building! CPVC is a ticking time bomb!

Clean work. The only thing that I don't like is that they didn't vent any of the lavs through the roof

Crazy running CPVC with fittings under the slab, never allowed in Texas

Who run this CPVC piping going to be a nightmare in 10 years
@everythinghomerepair1747 Жыл бұрын
In 10 years the original owner will likely have sold the house and it will be the new owners problem to deal with.

I would never use CPVC piping

Not challenging you at all. Why won't you use it? Just curious.
@everythinghomerepair1747 Жыл бұрын
@@davidunderwood4341 I can’t speak for him but I wouldn’t use it because I wouldn’t want the homeowners to come after me when their two story house and all their personal belongings are ruined in 10 years because of a break in the pipe that will ultimately be ruled a “installation error” by the cpvc manufacturer.

Future service! Changing emergency shut off valves, for one. Waiting for glue to cure sucks

CPVC is just about all they use in Florida. The majority of all new houses I’ve seen down there have CPVC
@JacobGluck Жыл бұрын
since I started doing plumbing in Florida 5 years ago there has been a gradual shift from CPVC to pex. I think very few, if any, new houses are built in CPVC nowadays. My personal house, built in 2017, was one of the last mass-built houses to be piped in cpvc. FWIW, cpvc is okay. sure, it has its problems, it gets brittle over time, etc. but it's okay, it holds its ground. Every material type has pros and cons. Pex aint perfect either. CPVC lasts for many decades, problem free, if installed correctly. Also, second-generation cpvc pipe is supposed to become less brittle over time than 1st gen. The ball valves, also, have been improved.
