They need to remove the stupid Corsair logo from the wrist rest, they need to get rid of the iCUE logo from the button and make the button more stable like it belongs, make the button like a streamdeck LCD screen, very small and you can put whatever you want on it, make the dial have tactile feedback, change the glossy look on the top to be a bit smaller and make the caps lock and num lock and etc a little more visible, and finally include the blue streamdeck switches again. Lastly put high actuation switches on it like mx browns or reds, or make an opto mechanical switch with a high actuation point then I would buy this keyboard for $230, it's overpriced though

Congratulations randomfrankp. 5:05 You are one of the first keyboard reviewer/influencer on KZbin that admit/inform people that Optical Switches are immune to key chattering issues that plagues the vast majority of the mechanical keyboards that have the leaf based traditional metal contact switches. Other influencers are still not as brave and sincere as you are about the key chatter issue. 14:28 Let's just hope that more keyboard reviewers begin to mention the real and hidden strength of optical switches is in fact eliminating the key chatter issue in the first place rather than the "decoy" faster actuation lie/reason. This is a good day for mechanical keyboard industry. Finally a big brand like Corsair also joined the 'Non-chattering Switch Technology' club along with giants like Razer, Asus and many many others. Let's just hope that this trend continues and the dreadful chattering standard metal contact switches used in mechanical keyboards become a thing in the past. PBT keycaps and Standard Bottom Row is also a big thumbs up for Corsair really. I also never thought that I would see the day that Corsair makes a keyboard with a Standard Bottom Row :)

I'm waiting for them to exchange that shiny middle part on the top with what became the Corsair Nexus. Would be nice to have that embedded in the actual keyboard (a little like what steel series does but with their own spin to it) instead of being an add on. It is easier to clean than the Logo on the K95 the way it's set up now, but for what it does, it's just too big? You're right about the iCue button, especially since it can be used for other programmes as well. Fingers crossed they will change it on the next keyboard they'll bring out, as well as finally giving us a removable (USB C) cord, so cable management is easier. I'm currently on a K95 RGB Platinum with brown switches (I like the tactile feedback), so I won't change to this one right away... the things I like best about this one so far is that it's the standard key layout now & that it's got even more "bling" to it, so I won't shell out another 230$ while my keyboard still sells for 200$.

So I just bought this Keyboard, this after returning the Logitech G15 Tactile and Steelseries Apex pro. The Logitech had RGB issues alongside very bad ergonomics for me personally, it gave me intense wrist pain during short period of time, And the Apex pro I returned due to the layout not being my style together with its hand-rest being uncomfortable. That lead me finally into picking the K100, its layout was perfect for me, its hand-rest smooth as butter, but more impressive then all was the switches, they are sensitive yes but so damn smooth, I cannot explain it, you have to experience it for yourself, but it feels like butter. Awesome RGB, build quality and functions, truly an AAA keyboard. Recommend it highly.

i've had my K70 RGB for nearly 9 years now (since 2014) and to be completely honest it still works just as good as it did 9 years ago. it was built like a complete tank, i've never had any keyboard last me nearly a whole DECADE with 0 issues! that being said, i really don't see any significant improvements or "upgrades" made during these 9 years to gaming keyboards, i guess what was considered "high end" and "premium" back then nowadays just comes with any keyboard that's half decent, but that's all. sure the K100 OPX has "optical switches" but will you ACTUALLY notice a difference between the Cherry MX version and the OPX version if you were given both versions to try out without letting you know which is which? probably not... today all of the RAGE is just adding in gimmicks - like that corsair nexus display that does not even work half the time lol, or Cherry "Fast" switches which is just re-branded red switches from 10 years ago. the mechanical keyboard market is a stale one, and honestly today i really don't see any arguing point of one keyboard over another, it seems the only "drawbacks or benefits" any keyboard has is the ecosystem it is built to - if you already have Razer equipment - just buy a Razer keyboard, if you already have Corsair equipment - Buy Corsair, if you have Steelseries - buy steelseries, and so forth... mixing and matching computer peripherals between a bunch of manufacturers is just a huge pain in the ass and a big mess, let alone adding more useless resources to your machine (for example why the heck do i need the whole Razer Synapse suit just to be able to turn on the friking LED's on an RGB MOUSEPAD? - its one of the many reasons why i'm seriously considering "downgrading" to a standard XXL mousepad). long gone are the days where you could mix and match peripherals from different vendors without having to deal with their shitty ecosystem driver software, nowadays every vendor is trying to screw you over - the biggest one being Logitech, which FORCES you to use their horrible buggy half working G Suite even though you only have a G29 racing wheel... in my situation for example, if for some reason my trusty old K70 RGB finally retires (though i highly doubt it, it seriously was built like a tank lol), i'll just buy whatever Corsair's Flagship keyboard is at that time - just to save myself the hassle of having to deal with re-adjusting and re-configuring everything on yet another trashware ecosystem driver software from yet another vendor... if my gaming mouse dies - i'll just buy whatever is Roccat's latest and greatest gaming mouse at the time. call that laziness, but i am seriously tired of having to play around with drivers all the time where a peripheral vendor is trying to screw its "legacy hardware" costumers up *couch* Logitech *cough*

OOOOOHHHHH just more pressure to spend that money on a keyboard i will make myself because WTF!!! $230 thats just going to far.
@deege.4 жыл бұрын
Dont get this... its extremely overpriced. Should be like 120$ but its 220 cause it has the name corsair on it
@TheGauges4204 жыл бұрын
@@deege. why *should* it be $120? How much did the K95 RGB Platinum cost? $200? Furthermore, what are optical switches worth, considering one other company makes them, and charges $200 for their higher end boards including them? Are you Corsair CEO? If not, then you have zero say on what they should cost tbh.
@deege.4 жыл бұрын
Are going to assume you work at corsair also? Corsair is kind of a joke in they keyboard community, no one likes them and a big reason is cause their pricing. They are heavily overpriced, you can build a similar board, with optical switches for way less. If your buying this, your only buying it for the brand name and your lieing if you say your not
@xander_allen4 жыл бұрын
Seth Kauffman this board shouldn’t even be $120, this is $80 quality at best. This board, just like every Corsair and gamer brand accessory, is stupidly overpriced. $230 can get you a real custom, and instead Corsair gives a cheap feeling board with low quality switches.

@@deege. I am not buying this keyboard until we get Cherry MX Browns or Reds, or they make an opto switch with a high actuation point, low actuation point switches suck and aren't good for typing or gaming

why is it that all optical switches has the same empty sound when you click?

It's great that they released a full sized keyboard rather than a useless TKL or 60% piece of shit.

For the price they charge, i'm glad they've opted to lube the stabilizers, but they really should lube the switches too... they sound so scratchy compared to my amazing sounding gateron optical switches i have in my work keyboard

It's about time Corsair listened. They've been losing my love to the competition a lot. Best part? Standard Bottom Row.
@TheGauges4204 жыл бұрын
"Listened" is a strong assumption. More like "observed how the competition was winning and copied their homework".

Hands down, one of the ugliest keyboards I have ever seen. Corsair’s design department making some genuinely repulsive choices lately and it’s a huge bummer.

Agreed random glossy blocks, random yellow squares, and silver keys and volume scroll when nothing else is silver?? Make it all black then have rgb to make it whatever colour we want!? Wtf! Don’t even ask me about the icue logo yikes.
