For me, country music has a vibe that changes the temperature of the room. Everyone can feel it. It's a time machine. It tells a story that takes you to that time and place when you first experienced that emotion. There's nothing quite like a real country song. I grew up on 90s country and that sound is hard to find in the catalogs of today's country. This had that. That was awesome! 100% cut it. Not trashing modern country BTW. I don't hate it but it doesn't make me feel. I'm sure there are plenty people who said 90s country couldn't do it like 80s country, 80s couldn't do it like 70s,etc...
