So happy for you getting your corner of irritation out of your life, so funny about your piule of papers due for shredding, I had one of those twice that size only last year, I got soo fed up of seeing it I put it outside and I ignored it there for a few weeks, bonus though it rained on it so much it turned to mush and nothing was visible on the papers, ended up throwing in with the card recycling bin, now I wet my papers all the time, leave them in the bath or sink overnight 😆😆

I completely understand the paperwork and such. My anxiety is so bad that I can't even go through my own mail. It will sit there for weeks in my mail pile before I get up enough nerve to finally go through it. Voicemails are also something that triggers my anxiety. I dont even have a voicemail set up anymore. I dont want to give people the impression they can leave me a message, and I will call back. Because I wont.

Fantastic job again ! I've loved the filming angle around 18:00 as it was wide enough for you to be able to move around without going out of the frame, and close enough to see clearly what you're able to discard and keep the trash bag on camera with a higher point of view to keep tracking the evolution of the process and get the satisfaction of seeing all the junk pileing up 😇 I hope you'll film it like that if you find magazines, clothes stores catalogues/flyers or any old clothes that can't be donated to toss. Even more if you have any other trash cans like the (bathroom/kitchen ones) to empty in it in the process as it makes everything you declutter not possible to take out of the bag and mostly give you no choice to dump the bag too as I tend to declutter harder things in a clean bag/box that I will just leave forever in the garage instead of dumping it 🤭

I agree - Ticks are awful; they make me cringe too! I highly recommend a handy tick remover called a TICK KEY. ( Its not the spoon but a KEY) Its alot easier than tweezers. They are sold on the internet. I've bought many ones so that I could have one handy in the car, purse, coat pockets and bathroom.

I struggle so hard at decluttering and organizing, and I didn't realize why until this video. It's alll the decisions. I think because I make SO many decisions every day that I just don't have it in me to make any more. As always, you did an amazing job! Ticks freak me out! Although, the one that commented about Marc possibly having lyme diease might be on to something. Leroy is so precious! He is such a good boy. Stop picking on him lol! I loved your Cleaning Goddess outfit!
@feraltradwife6 ай бұрын
It’s something I’ve realized as I’m doing the videos and then editing. I can see myself touch and pause on the video and I remember that I’m doing a lot of thing 1) recognize what item is 2) remember the moment in life where it came from and potentially other memories from that time 3) decide if I want to keep the item (which is often yes because it triggered a flood of memories and then you get frustrated about how you hoard things and have clutter) 4) if keep you then need to decide where it goes. 5) if no is it donate? Recycle? Trash? Sell it online? And that’s for every item. It’s a lot! I’m happy I was in the exact right mood to tackle this corner. It feels so lovely to sit there and read a book in the early hours. Leroy is a Cotten headed ninny muggins and you know it.
@MrsSpur6 ай бұрын
@@feraltradwife That is a lot! And as a mom, wife, homeschooler, you already make a ton of decisions. You're a boss! And Leroy is a precious baby lol. I kinda think it's a requirement to have a coin jar. I think it's standard issue for every young couple. We had a huge one when we first got married. A really good friend of mind had given us her son's full sized bed because he wanted a smaller bed to have more space in his room. It was pretty shackled from him jumping and playing on it. One night, we got in bed and we're just falling asleep and that was the moment the bed decided enough was enough and collapsed. It was terrifying. It shook the whole house, and our magnificent coin jar fell to the ground and shattered. We have a much smaller coin jar now.
@feraltradwife6 ай бұрын
@@MrsSpur oh nooooo! I’m actually so sad about your broken coin jar to be honest. I would cry if we killed ours. Luckily it’s an old protein tub and basically indestructible. It has lived in 5 different states with us. We packed it and moved it from Hawaii!

Check with the place you take your cardboard. Our recycling center has a certain amount of days a month that you can take shredding in. You just pull up, they get your box and shred all the papers. You can sit there until they are done so you know it all got shredded.

I’ve watched 3 of your videos now… please let me give you some advise.. this is all ment to help you. The video of you cleaning after a trip. Your house was trashed. You were running around trying not to get overwhelmed. I felt so bad for you. You have 3 beautiful kids.. they look age ready for One is in charge of cleaning the kitchen One cleans the dinning area and living room The last cleans the floors. Switch every week. That’s less you have to do and it teaches them to respect their home. And last hamper and trash can in kids room. No Food in the bedroom. I do mean for this to be helpful to you. I can’t see you cleaning like this for the rest of your life. Good luck 👍

Ruth Gordon: Yes to all of this! I had three siblings growing up and one day a week after school,the four of us switched around cleaning the dining room,kitchen,living room and main bathroom. Every fourth night we also had to clean up the kitchen and do the dishes after supper. I was so young that I had to stand on a chair to reach down into the sink!😳 Not only did it teach us shared responsibility and how to clean correctly,but since my dad was the one who enforced it,it made me realize how much he loved and respected my mother but also that we should do the same. Guess what,we all did until our parents passed away at ages 79 and 89. 🥰

Also totally agree with no food in bedroom and every bedroom having a trash can and hamper! No brainer!
