Cat whiskers are super sensitive. I live in GA too. Certain times during spring and summer I go out daily to sweep away the spider webs. So annoying. We have those Joro spiders. And yes gnats, gnats, gnats. A cup with a little apple cider vinegar will attract the gnats to the vinegar and kill them. Well done on the cleaning. I worked 2 jobs most of my life and I tackled jobs in small time bursts too.

I don’t know about your area,but I always reserve a large or “hard to break down” box or two to put all the flattened boxes as we go. I put them next to the recycle bins on trash day and they always take the whole pile.

First thing… YAY, that back porch looked amazing and didn’t take long to be swept up. I have a cardboard mountain as well, mine tends to live in my kitchen/back door area 😳 🤣 You should be so proud of yourself!!! I just have to finally comment. I have been binge watching all your videos lately. I know OF you from the "gettingtidier" channel but had to check you out when Mack from Midwest cleaning said you were hilarious & subbed once I confirmed, yes, you ARE hilarious. First, I feel like there are just certain places that should be judgement free zones. One includes any kind of recycling space. I mean you could have just thrown the cardboard in your neighbor's yard; left the back of your vehicle open after filling it so you could litter all over Georgia with your massive stockpile of cardboard. I mean, the options are endless. At least you're following the 'rules'. Second, I feel like as a vampire - being immortal & not sleeping - I would be exhausted constantly. It seems like a lot of work...ya know? I DO NOT have a Welcome mat because people exhaust me. I mean the number of people that actually applies to is pretty small. Odds are not in most peoples favor.😄 [[my First language is Sarcasm. I can speak "Polite" but it's difficult]] 😉

I know for me running my dishwasher every night and unloading it first thing in the am helps. Everything as your cooking after meals goes directly in it. No dishes in sink. Also keeping a hamper that ALL laundry goes in and doing 1 load a day even if its just 2 outfits and a towl wash it! Getting on a routine is the hardest part.

I do that also. I keep Tide liquid soap for the small loads, and it doesn't fade your clothes. I keep the Tide pods with oxy for all the regular full loads. Even if you just wash sheets or a blanket your keeping everything fresh. Especially if you have 2 American Eskimo hairy dogs who sleep in your bed and cuddle on the couch. 🐶

Washing your dishes and hot soapy water before putting them in the dishwasher does not make them cleaner. The detergent actually doesn’t work as well when there’s nothing for it to grab onto in the dishwasher.

I don’t have a dishwasher,but I’ve heard that the dishes need to a little bit on them(definitely rinsed well though) for the detergent to do its job. Is that really a thing? (When I took care of my parents and we shared a duplex, I always washed all of my yard sale finds in their dishwasher because I figured between the HOT water and the bleach in the detergent,the items were getting more sterilized than I could do by hand,I never would have thought that I needed to scrub each piece like you are doing.) Have you ever tried to just rinse and let it do its thing and check the results? They say that the detergents have come a long way.🤷🏼‍♀️(just a thought)🥰

I have considered it. I just really can’t seem to move past the idea that they aren’t clean. Maybe if I was better at rinsing immediately I totally would be able to, but these dishes have been sitting anywhere from 1-4 days. I have been trying to get all of us to rinse as we use but it’s such a hard thing for me to actually actually do. I can’t explain it. I know better but I just fine seem to DO better. You know?

I agree but it’s what I had planned for the day. Holding myself accountable for what I promised myself isn’t a bad think. Plus the back porch took just a few moments. Really all the last part took was just over an hour and was well appreciated by me when all was said and done! ☺️
