In your first Juniper release video, I commented on the lack of mention of the missing black exterior option. Thank you for addressing this concern right off the bat. Let’s hope the black color option will be available for the North American market at launch. The Model Y is a very popular car for Uber drivers on the Uber Black platform, and the black exterior/interior is a restrict requirement for eligibility on that platform.

The silver blocks radiant heat but does nothing for convective heat which is the problem with cold getting in in the winter. Radiant heat is an issue from the hot sun in the summer.

"Silver-coated insulated glass" is what is normally known as a one-way mirror. The slight elongation of the body may also help the aero. Glad they are finally listening to negative customer feedback. Reintroduction of stalks (and round steering wheel) may also have to do with the announcement of a dedicated robotaxi vehicle, whereas before I think Tesla was leaving open the possibility of normal Tesla vehicles becoming robotaxis, in which case they wouldn't need these controls.

@itsatrap721515 күн бұрын
I currently have a 2024 Model 3. Stalks for the shifting of gears is silly now if you have experienced it. The car automatically puts it in gear due to it's surroundings using the cameras and when you back out of driveway or a parking spot, you just put your foot on the brake pedal and turn the steering wheel an inch or two and it puts it from reverse to drive without touching the screen.
@Jeddin15 күн бұрын
Looks like some have indicator stalk and some dont. You can tell the difference on the wheel itself. The ones without stalks have left and right indicator buttons on the wheel and the ones shown is a left side indicator stalk dont have the left / right wheel buttons.
@andreaskraut696015 күн бұрын
@@itsatrap7215 But sometimes ist makes false decision (different from what I want). You always have to look on the screen to verify, what it hast decided. Then correct it sometimes. A stalk is much more convenient. And no, it is not just because it is new and different, I'm open to improvements. But lack of stalks is not an improvement. If you want to save cost, get rid of the "ambiente light". It is of no use at all.

i would have prevered more range, that was i hoped for at most. In Summary good improvments but diapointing...
@itsatrap721515 күн бұрын
There is no reason to increase the range assuming they could. More range means it weighs more and costs more. If the car gets over 300 miles per charge, you will never need the increased range until you travel. But 99% of the time you are not traveling but driving nearby your home. So it's a waste for everyone to have say 500 mile ranged car.
@PrescottResident15 күн бұрын
@@itsatrap7215 300 miles never = 300 miles in the real world. I agree adding weight isn’t desirable, but obviously if they could add 100 miles without a ton (figuratively) of weight it would be a benefit. Here in rural AZ a detour can be 40 + miles so I’ll take that extra any time. Also, longer range vehicles means less SC usage, and I’m all for that as well. For the most part 300 miles is plenty even if we don’t realize it, you are right. Range anxiety is a thing of the past with a Tesla for the most part, now I’m hearing people complaining about overall trip times being increased due to charging stops / time. There’s always something!
