The gun should not had a round in the chamber and investigating ourselves is not conducive to the facts. Out of state investigator with the ability to run everyone through a lie detector.

Most swat guys keep their stuff chambered. I was at the academy one day when someone dropped a loose round on the ground by the gun range and the round struck the end of a piece of gravel and went off. It happens sometimes. This was a tragedy but I bet you can look at military deaths every year that happen in the same way. Super sad. Every job investigates themselves. Stop making it seem like police need to do it differently when they are way harder on the internal investigations than other jobs are.

This should never happen. Modern rifles are supposed to be drop safe. With that said, a chambered round should never be left in a rifle. Especially when it is secured in a case.

LEOs lie, I highly doubt the report is what really went down.

The only rifle I know of that had issues was the Remington model 700 bolt action rifle and they were supposed to have been retrofitted many years ago but I have doubts the facts are factual in this case.
