New developments starting to emerge on the outskirts of BGC.
It seems like BGC is expanding and growing as new
development started to flourish in its surrounding areas.
Outside of BGC, Taguig is mostly urban sprawl typical of Metro Manila. There is a lot of slums and tenements, interspersed with some residential subdivisions, high-rise condominiums and apartments. These slum areas is the new focus of future developments here in BGC.
While it seems that BGC has reached the pinnacle of what a fully integrated mixed-use development could be, we can expect more from it over the coming years.
Plenty of future developments are currently in the works - structures that will provide future occupiers sustainable and wellness-focused office spaces, or infrastructure for public use that will make living here a lot more convenient.
After all, it has accomplished so much during its first three decades, imagine what the next three would bring.

In 1995 Metro pacific consortium won to develop the property and was sold to the Ayala group & Greenfield holdings back when late president Ramos needed the money to sustain the military upgrade . Many opposed to that sale as government property….it was not lease to them purchased was made….

The government should alot flats at cheap rates in the outskirts of the city for these people living in slums. These will create more area and also housing for the poors.

This great idea of BGC expansion can be materialized if and only if the Senate and House of Congress will unite together as one, to formulate a Special Administration District to convert all LGU's be in one unit, it means no more Cities (such as but not limited to Makati, Taguig, Pasig, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Muntinlupa, Paranaque, San Juan, Quezon City, etc.) to be called. Instead this will be led directly by National Government, thus to re-zoning is mandatory, where all these covered areas will be patterned from BGC. Ofcouse problem may arises as usual, particularly those who will be displaced from their titled property they owned before. One of those ideas to counter this issue will be studied and planned meticulously. Like to be compensated in different forms, Anyways, there are lot of ideas to be reckoned with, which is sky is the limit. Now, What only the country needs is to form a singularity of mind set called unity, and likewise a political will from all stake holders. Btw, im truly hoping that some powerful and influential person there from Malacanang can notice at least this humble but with depth ideas. Kudos 🎉 0:25

BGC is impossible to expand. Billions of pesos to be allocated just to empty the next expansion project for the rich and private companies. Whether lawmakers are involved. No taxpayers would willing to shell out just to remove shanty towns. Poor people doesn't live in a premium class township city and make a living of P300 a day.

BGC is developed by private sector and its privately owned. Unless the adjacent lots are owned by the govt or the developer will buy them directly from individual. They cannot convert them for private use. Exits and entry roads to BGC are narrow and it has no mass public transport.

But there is already a cold cast bronze-renderd statue of Andres Bonifacio called the "Bonifacio March" on 38th St., Uptown Bonifacio, North BGC, in front of Uptown Parksuites Tower 2 & Uptown Arts Residences & JP Morgan Chase Bldgs. It is the tallest monument in BGC. It was unveiled in late 2022. It's a mini park too.

FYI💡Fort Bonifacio was named in honor of Andres Bonifacio's father (Santiago Bonifacio) who's native of Taguig. that's why you can see several monuments of Andres Bonifacio in BGC.

You showed a photo of an area which looked like Guadalupe that was said to be part of a redevelopment plan. That’s a pretty crowded area will they be demolishing and relocating residents there? It's possible, but the will of government or developer is need to achieve this one. Budget will be easy for them since it's Private Partnership with Government.

BGC expansion is impossible. Real estate developers and LGU should emulate the things BGC. The reason BGC catapulted quickly as a township city, because the three powerhouse investment juggernauts because they didn't have to deal with demolishing infrastructures, the land was empty and no obstacles, and it's location is perfect for township.

You said there is no more available space in BGC. There is a big vacant lot encircled by 11th Ave, Mckinley Parkway, 7th Ave and 25th St. Not sure what is the plan for this big lot. It would be nice to know.

That’s right. It’s not rectifying the wealth gap. Even lower middle classes don’t benefit from these developments unless government improves in terms of job creations for locals (like manufacturing and other various industries we need to expand on).
