You are such an awesome young lady!! I've been on Humira for about 15 years for my AS and it has slowed the disease's progression considerably. I did, however, develop a severe case of uveitis about a year ago that turned into a retina infection. My Rheumatologist has been on top of these issues since I was diagnosed in 1993. I have been blessed to have a great medical team. Take care of yourself until next time!!

Thank you Ronnie! That’s so kind of you to say. It’s so interesting to read other’s stories and experiences! Thank you for sharing! I know that uveitis can be quite a common co-morbid inflammatory condition for people with AS - I hope it’s under control now and you’re feeling much better! Having a great medical team is so important, fab to hear your experiences are positive! We should be so grateful to all the amazing medics in this world - true super hero’s. You too! Wishing you all the best! 🥰 xx

Very interesting and informative video. Thank you. I've got psoriatic arthritis with axial spondyloarthritis. I used to be on sulfasalazine for a while and it did a great job for me before it stopped working. So I hope it will help you too x

Recently diagnosed with AS. Finally found out after nearly 14 years!! Currently just on weakish anti inflammatory but it’s helping. Surfing is easier!! 👌

Great video! I also have IBD and AS. I am on a drug called hyrimoz (same as humira) but another brand. Do you have any experience of humira or similar drugs? Looking forward to your next video 💛💙

@@ThisIzzTheLife Okey I see :) thanks for your response! I have been on hyrimoz since january. Overall it's been very good in taking the pain in my back away. Before I started with hyrimoz my sedimentation rate was too high but now its back to normal. My IBD symptoms are better but not completely gone. The side effects has been that I feel very tired the day after taking the injection and my ASAT and ALAT values got to high in the first few weeks, but they are alos back to normal. As I understand it all of the different medicine out there works different for every individual. I am not a health professional but just wanted to share my experiance with you and anyone else who are having autoimmune disease. All the best, Martin

Dude its been a long time, for someone diagnosed with another disease you certainly show alot of enthusiasm lol that sulfer drug has some nasty side effects i read so keep it managed hey. Ive had a few interesting AS attacks a few weeks back, kept waking up in the middle of the night with an inflamed back and SI joints, had to do a 15min stretching session in order to go back to sleep, but like it came it's now gone and i have no clue what triggers it or makes it go away. I stopped the gym now cause of the virus, I'm hitting the beaches for some swimming for a few months. What else have you been up to?
@ThisIzzTheLife4 жыл бұрын
It has. Thank you! I’m trying to be as positive as possible because I think a good attitude really helps in overcoming things! 😊 aw sorry to hear about your SI joints flaring up, sometimes it can be hard to pinpoint what causes flare ups. Good to hear about your swimming! I also love swimming in the ocean! Think it’s wise of you to avoid gyms right now too. I’m doing lots of walking and running in wide open spaces and home workouts too. Sending lots of love and wishing you all the best!! xx
