I got a sixties era spy series vibe from the 15th Doctor. I immediately thought of old shows like Man From U.N.C.L.E and I Spy. They just needed a bit more saxophone.

New Murray Gold seems to enjoy using chromatic lines which we hear at the end of the main theme on the piano. It also features mid-way through ruby’s theme, which is a cool Easter egg linking them. I thought that her theme is also quite reminiscent of I dreamed a dream in tone and style to Les miserable

Why does Ruby's theme seem sinister to me? The chromatic element of the scales and the use of minor notes alongside with the name of the track being 'the Life of Ruby Sunday' gives me the idea that she will SEEM like a normal girl at first...and then at the very end she'll be revealed to be a bit different like Clara. I DO buy into the idea that some had where they believe her name is an alias for something else...

it sounds very messy to me, too much going on, a lot of the instruments fighting each other as opposed to blending together. Hopefully the TV version will be better mixed/have more clarity.

I think it's alright but my personal problem with it is that the drums are not well synced with the music itself

Why would they have that theme for 3 specials also let's not forget Christopher Eccleston's theme was carried over to David Tennant in his first two seasons so I think Ncuti will be having that theme.

@@joshuaverran9443 Because one is a celebration of 60 years specifically reflecting the time David Tennant was in the role and one is a whole new fresh era with a fresh new Doctor? Hell Murray Gold made a unique closing credits for The Day of the Doctor that was never used again so, that's hardly strange.

Not a massive fan of some of the tracks. Especially the new theme for the 60th.

I’m very disappointed in this new theme tune. The theme works much better electronically than having some loud over the top orchestra. The 20th Anniversary theme at the end of The Five Doctors was a superb blend of Classic and Modern, this is a mess. Segun Akinola’s version is still the best of modern Who.
