Pop the sliding thing out and you'll get the extra range of adjustment and get everything in focus. I agree with GT's rating. This slowly became my main goggles, replacing my skyzone. Didn't intentionally happen, but the convenience of having USB, built in battey, and built in DVR was just more appealing for me. The cheap price was a bonus since I didn't care too much of just chucking the thing into any bag/case and not having to worry about them.
@PBoogerwood5 жыл бұрын
Cost is a huge issue. Hopefully, as the interest in the sport/hobby expands, with the lowering costs of technology, really good goggles will come down. Once they can hit $200 for HIGH quality goggles, sales will skyrocket IMO merely because that will bring in the casual flyer. I want FPV for just goofing around and flying non-competitive (drone or plane). If someone has a recommendation for that purpose I'm all ears! Thanks!

I definitely could not stand the Dom3 screens. The Ev800 was a better solution than the Dom3.I sold it and got the SkyRC Immersion Go. It has better image quality than both the EV and Dom3. Was only $110 and come with 7 inch screen. It is bigger, more comfortable, and lightweight. At the end, It is all about your personal preference. I am looking for a new set of goggles that will support diversity receiver. My problem is that my head is big, so even most cheaper box goggles end up being too small and my eyes hang too far out sometimes making contact with the very edge of the goggle (the foam part). I tried a really expensive FatShark in the past and that form-factor does not seem to work with my face at all. So I am stuck wearing my big, ugly and heavy, diy box from HobbyKing. Stu! what can you recommend for me? I know you have tried just about everything!
@aaaaaaaaaassssssssdf5 жыл бұрын
those antennas remind me of the eachine vr006 i bought when i started fpv, they were like 45 bucks. and were garbage. hear me out, it has two antennas and advertises diversity but one antenna actually doesn't connect to anything. and if you take it apart and follow the trace on the pcb, there will be a white line covering the antenna wire, they Y together and go to one input on the big receiver chip, but if you scrape the paint off near the Y you find it actually doesn't connect all the way, there's a gap. i'm really curious if this is the same or not.

Been using Headplay goggles for 3 years now has HDMI in that I can use for Phantom controller for commercial stuff. Have old set of Fatshark predators. My ev100 got me into the hobby. In comparison to my aomways, well there is no comparison. But they were good enough and got me up and running. These seem similar. Although you'd save money in the long run going straight to some premium goggles like the hdo's, the reality is something cheap gets you into the hobby without the price barrier, and until you've done some flying, you don't really know what you want in a set of goggles anyway.

I noticed that you sometimes do not do multiple racing quads at the same time while reviewing goggles.. I found that my cheap goggles work extremely well until I start racing with other pilots. The receiver on the cheap goggles do not filter out other frequencies as well especially with higher powered vtxs at 200mw +.. Could you do a racing setup with at least four other people to compare the filtering of the vtx receiver in future goggle reviews? 4 with all right antenna, 4 with left antennas and 4 with a mix? like in a real life racing environment.. Matter of fact, could you ALWAYS do multiple racing track reviews along with free style flying reviews? This ensure that racers and freestylers alike, can actually see the performance and not just hear the interview of it.

@@3979539 These work through a 5.8ghz and I'm thinking spark is Wi-Fi that work through the phone. If that is true it won't work. But they will work with any 5.8ghz channel.

Get the Eachine EV200D goggles instead of wasting money on Fat Shark HDO goggles!

Hey Staurt, I know the chance of you seeing this is extremely slim but I just thought if you se this you might respond. Anyway I really want to get into fpv but I'm only 12 so I not only have little money but also don't have electronic experience so if you could recommend a good rtf tiny whoop. Please. Thank you for your help.

I've got a mobula7, vrd3 goggles and a turnigy evolution controller. I love the set up. The mobula7 is fast enough to learn acro but easy to fly.

I think for me . They might be a good fit. ... For the price of 60 bucks US. with a DVR in them.. not to bad. others are 40 to 50 with NO DVR so with buying a DVR to add. better with these. Cheap whoop for in house with these , as a new Drone pilot. great deal.. I ply RC Planes and these probable wont do it for them but to get started with a whoop .. good starter set

Absolutely for someone trying to get into FPV cheap, for 60 bucks, you aren't out much if you don't like it
