As the US National Security Advisor in the early 1970s, Dr. Henry Kissinger realized what at the time seemed impossible: a rapprochement with China. It was a breakthrough that reordered the geopolitical map by bringing the world's most populous nation into the global order. Ahead of the inaugural New Economy Forum in 2018, Bloomberg looked back on this signature
achievement in Dr. Kissinger's remarkable life.

Remarkable? What’s remarkable is that he died a free man and was never brought before The Hague. If there is a hell he’s there.

There is no real justice in this world. Those who have all the power make the rules and get all the actual justice.

When Tom Lehrer was asked why he stopped writing songs and recording, he replied that "political satire became redundant once Henry Kissinger won the Nobel Peace Prize".

at 75 years of age I vividly remember Kissinger's monstrous reign over American foreign policy. He is directly responsible for 50,000 American dead in Nam, more than 1 million dead Vietnamese and God only knows how many dead in Chile and Nicaragua. May he rot in hell

"The evil that men do lives after them, the good is oft interred with their bones. "(Shakespeare). Kissinger sowed evil in Vietnam, Cambodia, Chile, and other regions of US foreign interference. He died without expressing remorse.

Remarkable?! Wasn’t this guy wicked to the core? I hope he repented before his remarkable death as we all must.

One thing I don't understand: Everyone says Kissinger is personally responsible for all this bad stuff but how does 1 person gain so much unchecked power? Who did he know, or what position did he hold that gave him completely unchecked power to be responsible for so much? Does this position still exist, if so, who is the Kissinger of today? I was not aware that an individual was able to make so many decisions on behalf of an administration without any interference from anyone.

Kissinger was an important member of the organized private power . Org.priv power is a powerful network of organizations , such as Royal Institute of International Affairs, Council of Foreign Relations, Tavistock Institute, Trilateral Commission. A lot of presidents and Congress members are also members of the Trilateral Commission . I only described the basics.

@@edr8353 If Kissinger is only a member, why does he hold all the responsibility? I've heard for years that Kissinger was a monster this/that but never understood why him, or even that a random person not that high up is ordering all this stuff across multiple administrations. What actual power does he have such that people follow his orders? He's not a banker, not royalty, not connected to anyone I can tell, seems like he came from humble beginnings according to Wikipedia.

@@bennyskim Kissinger was Nixon's national security advisor for a long time and concurrently Secretary of State. After Nixon , Gerard Ford was president for 2 years 1964-66, during which Kissinger kept all his positions. Kissinger was not affected by Nixon's resignation either. Kissinger was not only a diplomat, but he brought Nixon together with Mao. Why was he everywhere? For that you have to know the structure of the elite that he was an important member of..David Rothkopf was a former white house employee then became the director of Kissinger Associates'. He wrote a book called Superclass. He writes down the names of the 300 banking dynasties. About 10 thousand family members. He outlines in the book - how they live, what meetings they go to, what schools their kids go to...etc. The Tax Justice Network, a Swiss scientific committee looked into who is the owner of big international corporations. They ended up at 147 megabanks, then they ended up at 300 families. They own 43 thousand multinational corporations, 30 thousand foundations. Institutions such as Royal Institute of International Affairs, Bilderberg Group, Trilateral Commission, Council of Foreign Relations, Tavistock Institute etc etc...Their power is in their organization. A huge network. They own all the mass media outlets, written or televised . They finance every candidate that can run in the presidential election.
