Its the only tape my mom would allow me to play in the car of my music growing up. Ive seen then at least 15 times live and never seen them do any of these songs. Wish I could.

Great retrospective, I really liked 'Tears on my pillow' a lot but I just love all the songs on this album, they're so soothing.

Bro.. you're great at what you do. This one is great bro.. Under the Blue Moon is underrated and shows what New Edition is known for today..

Every time I watch this.. I purchased this tape when I was 12. It literally defined my 7 th grade year and the memeories really make it feel like it did then.

I never looked at it that way. I always thought this was just an album to fill any void the group was missing. With them not having Bobby, going through financial and management problems, as well as the group wanting to mature their image. Keep in mind, this is during the time Bobby was starting his solo career.

Great retrospective video MDJ! I enjoyed watching this and I think the Under the Blue Moon album was very underrated. They did a great job with these cover songs and I really do like Earth Angel, Tears on my Pillow, Duke of Earl, Hey There Lonely Girl and Blue Moon. Keep up the good work as always and I know you're gonna do one of my favorite New Edition albums the Heartbreak album in your next video soon. Can't wait for that! Once again a great retrospective video bro!

Will be doing a retrospective for that album in a separate video. Would’ve been too much information or not enough if I talked about it in this one. Preciate you 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Thanks for the video. I had the cassette back in the day in my efforts to collect all their stuff. I tried to listening to it on Apple Music recently and was bummed to find that while the album is on streaming, "Earth Angel" is currently excluded. :( While not my favorite NE album, _Under the Blue Moon_ is still quite good. I appreciated that they featured Ricky more and that he had his own song. I was unsure of how much Mike and Ronnie contributed for vocals in that I felt like they had a lot of help from other personnel for the harmonies and background vocals. I think this album could have used more spoken lines from them so that it would feel more they were part of the album, because it's mostly Ralph and Ricky you hear on this album (and they did a really good job). I think one point to bring up is that they featured Shanice Wilson (aka Shanice of "I Love Your Smile" fame) on vocals for a few verses on "Since I Don't Have You" toward the end and people have mistaken it for Ricky's voice. What I'm not sure of is if it's Ricky or Shanice that sings the very last part of that song. I would love for someone to chime in on this. Keep up the good work. Can't wait for _Heart Break_!

I've been waiting on this one, and you didn't disappoint! This album I'm sure introduced 50s Doo Wop to a whole new generation of kids and fans. "Hey There Lonely Girl" is definitely the standout track on this album. Since I feel they came out around the same time, will you cover their Christmas album?

Thanks man. Yeah there’s going to be a separate retrospective for the Christmas album.
