As engineer working in a supplier factory for Mercedes EVs they always go to high quality standards. One day I Talked to a supplier of us and he is a supplier of Tesla too, he told me that Mercedes always wants the best they have and Tesla the cheapest.

As an EQS 580 owner, I love Mercedes. Their next platform must have 800 volt architecture and faster charging. Their US EVs AC charge at 9.6kW which is about 20% slower than most other EVs. Rear wheel steering should be on every new model. Please don’t tell me the ICE version uses same frame. This entry level EV probably will come in at $60K.

@@johnpoldo8817 The EVA2 platform on which EQS, EQS SUV, EQE, EQE SUV is build on is getting 800V upgrade in 2025. It will get the eATS2.0 800V drive unit and completely different battery pack. Different heatpump that can work with 800V volts. Pretty much everything will be changed and upgraded.

...they already reached a world record with it...3770km in 24h and an average speed of 155km/h...including the charging stops!!!...they drove 210km/h. They charged it for best loading speed from 5 to 50% in 8mins!!! The even earlier prototype of the CLA Tech...the EQXX...achieved 8kwh/100km driving 120km/h...they drove from Stuttgart to Silverstone...but the Battery was not empty...means they drove around Silverstone a little bit to empty it...1200km range using 100kwh Battery in this case. Seems they are able to transport a lot of this tech into the new MMA Platform...which is meant to be at 12kwh/100km. They are far ahead of Tesla with this new MMA Platform, which will be seen soon in all new Mercedes...first the CLA in 2025.
