I invested in Tesla because it is the only company I can put my money to support Elon Musk. When I saw a disabled person with a hand prosthetic, Tesla and Neuralink came to my mind instantly. I immediately thought of the value of Tesla’s Optimus to the future of Tesla. I have seen Boston Dynamics presentation on robotics, it was very interesting but its been several decades ago.

I doubt tesla will do prosthetics due to how specific it has to be for each person. So that means no mass production
@gordon1201
@gordon1201 11 күн бұрын
@@Toefoo100 that's completely short sighted. There's absolutely no reason it has to be so specific. We already have skeletal implants where you can attach a prosthesis directly on the skeleton, so no need for custom made anything beyond the initial operation but that has nothing to do with neuralink

Great presentation! Even *I* could understand most of it. I am excited for the potential for physical healing, and restoring quality of life. I must admit that the Super Power aspect is a bit disconcerting, simply because all of history speaks of the danger of the temptation of greed. How to regulate such abuse is going to be a challenge. I am not against enhancing physical abilities, just recognizing that some folks cannot control themselves. (It's sort of part of my job description) Looking forward to technical progress, as well as wisdom in application. Finally, not a nitpick so much as a friendly suggestion ... isolate the microphone from the table. When D.J. Saul (or anyone else) was making points while touching the table, it drove my subwoofer into Boom-Boom! I am so used to everything around Elon being perfect, this stuck out to me. Hi, this is fascinating but I have so many questions: Is it secure from hacking? Is it safe to go through scanners such as those at a library or airport, MRI, CAT Scanner, X-Ray? Is it susceptible to an EMP? Batteries have been known to overload and ignite or explode, how do you protect or at least highly mitigate the risk to the brain? Will this be able to help with neuropathy and other nerve damage throughout the body? Will stimulation of atrophied muscles be possible ahead of enabling control of muscles impacted by nerve damage? Will it be able to create muscle memory more quickly for difficult to achieve skills? Does the interface have storage to assist with memory? Will it develop to be able to combat aging diseases such as dementia? Is the device similar to a pacemaker in that it would need to be removed before cremation? Is there any risk to firefighters/first responders recovering an unfortunate victim of fire? I’m sure the military have a huge interest in this to add ‘superpowers’ to their soldiers, do you have concerns? These are just a dump of questions that come to mind some of them nonsensical but my mind is struggling to comprehend the possibilities of a device such as this. I’m imagining the hope that must be surging through a significant portion of the population whose imagination must be running wild with possibilities of assistance with chronic conditions. Will the costs be within reach of regular working stiffs? This is obviously a developing project, will upgrades be available for early adopters as improvements happen? I’m wondering what timescales are likely to be for developments and what goals you have for future developments?

I would volunteer as a test subject to have all my limbs removed and replaced with cybernetic limbs and have a neuralink implant so I could control my cybernetic limbs to function. I'm a lvl c5-c6 quad. Alternatively I would have myself cloned and do a memory transfer or head transplant .

Must be a pretty invasive device to allow for that. You would probably have to replace most of the skull with a very big neuralink because the sensors have to reach all the different parts of the brain

@@natzos6372 Speech is a relatively small part of the human brain, no? You don't have to put these sensors everywhere. If that was the case moving a mouse cursor telepathically should be more invasive. The trick is just to find what neurons firing correspond to certain concepts and ideas.

Ok. QUESTIONS cause why not. lol. : 1. 1:48 Telepathy Product: sounds amazing but it also sounds like the telepathy would need a special link or handshake protocol. Is that going to be a special product purchases to specifically link or will there be a handshake protocol for any device to link up. What protocol will it be using to dictate mental cues, LoRen, or something? With that being an electronic device like ( ie. iPhone), I am guessing it is always in search mode or in constant link up, companion ready/pairing link available. Is there any issues with excessive RF exposure and if so, are there any adverse implications relative to that issue. My query is in reference to the recent iPhone 12 problem. 2. As for the tiny electrical signals firing into the neural pathways, how does the device protect itself and your gray matter from simple things like static electricity or any little zap or arc or microwave, etc. What prevents the signal from disruption. Attenuation issues?.. spikes?, TIIIINY lil buck boosters for oomph lol. What about stroking out if a you get a zap unintentionally walking on tour rug in socks, will my 0101 flip shit n go 1010 lol? Am I HACKABLE? Flipper Zero proof? Solar flare ready?, Built in Faraday structured housing? 2. 3:06 at that point don’t you think that AI would be savvy enough to gain access to a bunch of linked chips, mimic your own voice within your head ultimately. What will prevent AI from find a back door and sayin SU ?… .. I have a bunch of questions in general but I’ll save the rest. lol 🫶🏽🖖🏾 love u guys tho! AMAZING!!!

An experienced programmer will tell you , it not the coding that takes the time. AI is excellent at embedding code that is very difficult to debug - yes it also creates bugs.
