I love your video. The design is beautiful. Just a word of caution to you. That adhesive spray that you are using is a permanent adhesive that is not made for embroidery. You need to use a temporary adhesive that is made for embroidery. The one you are using will gum up your needle and cause needle breaks and can cause you to have issues later on with your machine.

Good morning, try this method it’ll save you a lot of time. If you change that large black fill area to an appliqué that would save you 40 minutes. But what I really wanted to suggest is rather than use the black fabric you used replace it. Hoop two layers of the heavy tearaway along with your plastic. Then sew your design. When it’s done you pop it out then use a lighter to clean the edges. I sandwich the plastic between the pieces of tearaway. I think it looks better to the customer.

Wow, I am sooooo impressed. Which John Deer Course did you take to learn this skill? How many seperate stitch placement lines, satin stitch, outline, secondary placement, ontop of another satin stitch, post-cut out lines, do you have in this digitized patch? I am clueless how to digitize this many layers in a patch. I have embrillance stitch artist 3 that I just purchased a few days ago. Everything is new, but like everyone else has said, this the BEST VIDEO I have ever seen on patches and the sleek finished look. You in a class ALL BY YOURSELF on this one!!!

wow. I am exploring the craft and getting my first machine. the large machine you have in the video is obviously an advanced investment later on once I feel out the trade. Right now, I'm looking at a couple of first machines, single needle Brother SE700 4x4 hoop, or slightly bigger around 5x7 hoop models. My question is will I be disappointed very quickly or feel limited if I start with a 4x4 hoop size model? Or will I find 4x4 useful enough to avoid the extra cost of the jump to 5x7 or similar size other models, which easily doubles the cost? Yet, I don't want to focus too much on cost for the first machine if it will quickly feel limiting once I get into it and grow out of the 4x4 and want to explore a 5x7 a little bigger model? I had other hobbies before, and have learned that cheap initial purchases, trying to cover too much in one purchase or bundle is not wize, and quickly gets replaced resulting in wasted money where the more expensive option firstly was better. on the same note, is Brother a good first brand, what about Poolin or others you can recommend? Maybe you have already done a getting into embroidery video with tips and what not to do information you can share the link to. Thanks for your response.

@canvasappareljamel4471
@canvasappareljamel4471 6 ай бұрын
I dont provide the glue. They can can get it sewed on are they can purchase the Heat N Bond, to iron it on are they can purchase Fabri-tac are E6000 to glue it on. I give the customer the option of how they prefer to attach it to their garments. I give them a note in the package explaining that and also in the description of the Etsy Posting.

It’s kinda funny as I chuckled to myself. I’ve been emb for 20 years and have never thought of this technique. Women go to expensive sewing stores and men go to Home Depot. LOL. I’ll need to get lock tight and a heat gun. lol. I don’t trust myself with a mini torch though. For sure I’d catch some thing on fire. Lolol. I’m wondering if E 6000 glue would be smooth upon application to fabric and laundering??.? Should glue only be applied to edge, or entire patch? Is there a reason you applied black fill stitch under the letters and not use appliqué fabric. Are you using cotton fabric, or something firmer? Please, do tell!! Now I wish you would make detailed videos for your tricks and embroidery tips. Even old embroiders will learn something new! Uhhh, that’s me, old embroiders. You are a fantastic instructor so I do hope you post more of your techniques. Thank you!😊
@canvasappareljamel4471
@canvasappareljamel4471 6 ай бұрын
I now use fabric first the big fill now. I use fabri-tac because E6000 won't stop spilling out lol. I put the glue in the middle and close to the edges of the patch. If I decide to glue it on but mostly now I'm embroidering directly to the garment if I can. I am planning on doing a video are live very soon. I just have some big orders to fullful so my time is crazy right now. But be on the look out.
