Today on Bernie Rubbers Garage we try to fix those high oil temperatures that we saw on track last track day! We're replacing the oil cooler, improving airflow with the license plate filler mod and ducting, and since you're here, we need to replace the front brake pads too! Remove that antifreeze and replace it with distilled water and add hyperlube

How is the air flowing? Anyway to tell if it’s just going under the car or into the oil cooler? Seems hard to run a test because you changed out oil cooler same time you modified the air flow. Can’t isolate those variables. But regardless nice video. I’m sure your running cooler from that larger oil cooler!

You have a good point and shortly after this video I added more ducting all the way to the oil cooler. Last summer I was able to run 20min of hot laps and the temperatures held nicely. The car is getting a new engine so we will see how this holds up this summer.

Yeah, it's not for everyone, but it made a big difference to my oil temperatures at the track so I'm glad I did it!

I did this to mount a trans cooler. Wish I'd mounted it somewhere else!! Oh, it works fine, real good, actually. It seemed like a good idea at the time. But I'd never recommend doing this mod to anyone. Too much carving up of a lot of things. Personally, I do like the way it looks, though......
