The board walk guys must be being paid by the hour... I've never seen decking take so long to lay!

1:34 I think them wind baffles directly behind the south stand with no trees in the centre of them look strange on their own. Is anything else going near them?
@Philtymo19 күн бұрын
Not sure if am honest, maybe trees?
@rosse670519 күн бұрын
@Philtymo no mate, the ones with trees in have loads of ground work done prior to the wind baffles being installed for the water drainage and tree roots. These haven't had that and they join in the centre so there isn't room for a tree, they are just baffles. I think it would have looked better doing trees in these as well the full length of the stand and next to the water.

dont stadiums with such overhanging rooves always create a problem with the pitch being half in sun half in shade?
@rosse670519 күн бұрын
@redrobot8925 That's why they have done the pitch North to South instead of East to West.

All premier league grounds use artificial UV light and undersoil heating to grow the grass all year round, so it won’t be an issue. The north-south orientation of the pitch is mainly to benefit TV broadcasting - the main camera in the west stand won’t have direct sunlight shining into the lens and the shadows on the pitch will be less of an issue compared to if it was east-west orientation

They are able to grow the grass through the winter with the uv lighting so there won’t be a problem any time of the year, they are also sticking some artificial grass into the pitch to like some other premier league teams have to
