I don’t think the pitch edge areas are much barer, I just think they have applied more sand to these sections as it’s possibly where water collects off the stands and it needs better drainage

Meant to be doing the concrete roofs to a dark grey/black so all the brokers have been told. If you look under the west stand cladding you can see the black coating

There seems to be a lot of water marks on all the lower stand seats and some of the upper as well , I hope the roof is doing its job properly

@@Philtymo Every video from various drone flyers posted on KZbin after a wet spell shows water on large sections of the seating well back from the pitch level and under cover. I know it’s not finished yet, but we are just a few weeks away from LOR handing the stadium over and it does not appear to be watertight.

@ am pretty sure it’s water tight and if it wasn’t they would be sorting it. We see nobody up on the roof or looking at said leaks when we fly round, if it was something of concern we would see work going on top of the roof

​@@Philtymothe roof is fine however the drainage is under the roof and that is what they did have an issue with. With climate change maybe the deluges we now get could challenge drainage previously thought to be adequate ? 🤷‍♂️

@ it did the end sections last, a few videos back I got it doing the end sections. They went east to west where the rest of the pitch was done north to south

Laing O'Rouke and their Subcontractors are still maintaining their record of leaving areas of work before its finiished e.g. the pontoon has been moved before the edge cladding of the lagoon wall has been completed. Whilst highlighting this problem - have they forgotten to order the blue brick corners for the decorative seating extending from the building into the East Plaza, Then there are the loose seats in various parts of the Spectator areas. Not forgetting unfinished cladding generally around the building. If the ' cladding' lying on the West roof adjacent to the Solar panel array is not part of the installation why doesn't someone remove it in order to finalise the main roof installation ? In doing so will ruin thier record of unfinished work 😒 😂😂 I await in eager anticipation of seeing the bare areas at each end of the pitch showing natural grass growing there ! What would I give to be the Manager of the Snagging team - LOR would have to wait a long time for their final 5% payment ot the contract !!

​@Philtymo he's chatting shite. Laing O'rourke have been spot on from start to finish, obviously besides the unfortunate death of a worker. This is what happens on large builds. Some things take longer than others, and sometimes certain materials don't fit or aren't up to standard so they have to get the manufacturer to make new ones which take time. Like the last curved glass window on thr south stand what took ages. That was because all those windows sat on site for months waiting to be installed then when they got to that piece it didn't fit correctly, unfortunately for Laing O'rourke that firm had went under in the mean time so they had to find someome else to make it. These things happen and a lot of this is out of Laing O'rourkes hands due to other companies not making them correctly or delivering them on time.

​@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot Tottenhams south stand holds about 18,000 / even the kop holds just under 13,000. Considering this has been built from scratch they definitely could have made it a bigger capacity.

The capacity will increase if and when Safe Standing is approved, with a better ratio than 1:1 standing spots Vs Seated Spots. The Lower South has been built with rail type seating, to make the switch super quick.
