My guess is Ubi is trying to make more money off a cross over style skin. Even though the skin is permanent and available even after the event, they think more people will buy it just because it's Ezio and they'll make more money off it.

New voicelines and animations = 6k more. I think it makes sense honestly. If they continue to put this much effort into hero skins it warrants the price.

Hero skin prices in general are atrocious. However, it makes perfect sense why they raised the price for this one.
