The Rallz on the front on my Africa twin, it wants to try and get a fish tail motion, from the tread blocks flexing to much on the front. Almost mimics handle bar vibration or tank slap once it gets going.

@@manybikes I am glad I have been riding motorcycles for more than a few days, and know when a bike is about to throw a curve ball. First time it got into a fish tail scenario was right at 70 mph on an on ramp in the curve it decided to act all wonky. My working theory is the tread block is getting to a temperature in which it becomes too soft and the blocks can walk around. It seems to be at certain speeds and time on the highway. Now the tread block is down below 7mm in height or so and it’s cupped a big it doesn’t act up.

I apologize. I am trying to follow. First question is, is that a 1290 you have there? What wheels are you running and are they tubes? And what tires are you recommending for the bigger bikes? The reason I ask is I have a 1290 SAS that I have been trying to decide on wheels and I can go with KTM’s conversion wheels which are tubeless or u could get wheels that require tubes. I want to go ahead and put the wheels and tires together right now because there are some Black Friday deals going on.
@manybikesАй бұрын
This is a 2016 1190 Adv R with the same tubeless wheels as your 1290. These rims are so bent they don't hold air, so I have installed tubes. I also have a set of Powerparts skinny Heavy Duty wheels that take tubes too. This Rally Pro front tire is tube type only, but the XT+ is tubeless.
@Romenet310Ай бұрын
