I reloaded a bunch of 20 gauge HOA and they loaded just fine. Haven't shot any yet though. Have been too busy to get back to the range, but hopefully soon. I'm due for a good full day :)

Federal owns remington now. Remington makes Federal tapered hulls for them.

19:00 Yeah, nearly every name brand company has been having serious issues with QC recently. pistol, rifle, and shotgun, ammo and the arms themselves. At best you wind up with crap quality ammo or arms, at worst it's a major safety issue. Long as you know what you're doing, it's safer to reload and you get higher quality than factory in most cases. To whatever extent you can, these days it's even just better to build and/or repair your own arms, and as long as you know what you're doing, the quality is usually way better than factory.

Perhaps a MEC reloading press would give you a better crimp.

I can get better than factory looking crimps with a lee load all and a ribbastore tool, watch some of our newer videos, this one is very old around when we first started. I’ve used a few mecs and greatly prefer the Lee press.

Sure do. It’s an sts hull but maroon. Remington makes them.

Yep 835 has rifled barrels and smooth bore slug barrels available both 24". What's the shortest shells you've been able to get to reliably cycle in your 835 without modifying the gun? 2.5" or 2.25" or... ?

2.5” cycles fine, haven’t tried shorter I don’t think.

Why? Trap guns are very expensive and these had full chokes at least. Really shows the pattern differences.

You mentioned the 7.5 shot in that magnum was high antimony. What brand was it?

Federal acquired Remington’s shotgun ammo factory. So yes, they’re just Federal branded STS. They may have different wads. I saw where Federal was advertising their own wad.

my local.store only has rem. gun clubs. all $10 each. wallmart quit carrying shells of any kind for political reasons

Our local Walmarts all carry ammo. Just the common calibers and some hunting ammo though. All the gun shops and sporting stores are fully stocked but no one is buying any because of the prices. Super target shells used to be $5.48 and now they’re $9.78. $12.99 for all other tapered hulls.
