its really funny how different people come to so different conclusions about FFB of any particular game and the only differentiation alternates between the poles of "absolute dog shit" and "best in the world" the differences in perception are so large that I can really only expect entirely wrong settings, like running 150% dynamic damping, which will necessarily lead to complete clipping of all other forces
@GamerMuscleVideos3 жыл бұрын
Default ACC objectively lacks specifc FFB information that's of use to drive from thats an objective fact. Not sure what you are talking about with the 150% dynamic dampener maybe don't base you thinking on settings that happen to be on a screen in a video ? Also I don't believe the dynamic damper setting should cause clipping at most it will make ffb more mute / more dampend the faster the car is going. ( Though developers like to use the term damper to do different things that's why it's always worth testing stuff in a SIM to see it's effect) For most people it's probably better to have it off , but it can give the sense of increased gyroscopic resistance even though it does not actually simulate that. Anyone that says ACC ffb is "best in the world" / "dog ****" with no context are noot really saying anything of value. I have been very clear in stating the specifc things ACC ffb lacks and why that is important for driving and immersion and also that a fast driver in a s.could drive with no FFB and still be fast and why that's besides the point. I think you need to pay more attention in the church of FFB
@SimracingPopometer3 жыл бұрын
@@GamerMuscleVideos I think you got me wrong. What I mean is that ACC ffb already has everything from scratch. In MY OPINION there's no immersion missing, no information missing. I always know what the rear is doing, what the front is doing, which tire is loaded and which isn't and how much, and how much is too much. It's all there without doing anything other than using the recommended settings. And it felt exactly the same on the DD2 I tested as it feels on the VRS base. I couldn't imagine what SoP info is missing here. The wheel presents me with the rear dancing under braking, tells me when the rear is about to go when loading the fronts, tells me "if you turn one more mm, I will snap". Thats on top of all bumps, edges, vibrations. ACC stock to me feels like iracing with iRffb. Hence my comment that its simply weird how the same thing, same wheel, same game appears to leave vastly different impressions to different people. The only factor I can trace those differences in perception to then is the way the hardware is set up.

What do you think about the ffb Nils? I felt that ffb in acc is pretty good. (Edit already answered above i see now) But then again i switched from iracing to acc and iracing isn't the best in tyre physics so for me it was a world of difference. My only other reference is RR which feels about the same as ACC.. never missed anything in ACC, maybe I havent experienced the ffb everyone misses in acc so I don't really know what I am missing? Really want to try this accffb to see what I am missing everywhere but it seems a bit too alpha for me with all these extra programs you need. Having spent the last couple months testing a FSAE car, I can say that the ACC ffb is actually very realistic (a few cars have very dead ffb, but I'm talking the majority here). The problem is, "realistic" simply isn't enough for a game where you're sitting in a comfy chair. This is based off quite a weak entry-level wheel...maybe the forces don't scale up very well, but magnitude aside, what I'm feeling is what I would expect most of the time.
@GamerMuscleVideos3 жыл бұрын
This is what I keep trying to explain to people - real world wheels , flight yokes and pedals often feel like crap lack force detail and have a ton of play and issues. But in real life the G-forces are what contect everything and what you use to drive the given vehicle so what you feel through the wheel is often not that important. When in a static simrig with only a ffb for information of what's going on the wheel needs to convay that to the player otherwise they are missing vitle information. AC , R3E so a really good job of this regardless of the reasons.

I am happy for all people, that get enough information from it, I don´t, so I can´t trust the cars, and can´t drive them on a reliable bases. I hope, that someday there will be easier Mods, like for example Christiaans FFB Files for PC2. Or if you take the new FFB from Raceroom. I'll definitely give this a go. I never had an issue with ACC FFB until lately. Been playing a lot of Raceroom which has this effect, but also demands much greater turning radius than ACC. Having to go back to ACC after playing raceroom is a mess that requires like an hour or two to get used to again with the much smaller steering inputs and no g force effect warning you that you are overdriving until you are spinning around.
@GamerMuscleVideos3 жыл бұрын
I find running faster or slower steering rack settings can help with making the turning response feel closer from sim to SIM. ACC has a sharper more abrupt grip curve to its tires than R3E though so it's always going to be more pokey to drive.
@Kaylos293 жыл бұрын
@@GamerMuscleVideos That is the weird part for me. I have competitive pace on both sims, but on ACC I feel like I drive almost entirely with the gas and brake. If I even think about turning in to corner I end up spinning around, whereas in raceroom I feel I have to do pretty abrupt trail braking and force turn in the car to get the nose to go in. Though the feel for trail braking is much more intuitive on Raceroom for sure. I use Auto DoR on both games, since Raceroom has DoR set by car. If this FFB works though for me, it should make adapting back to ACC more intuitive. That is the hope anyways.

Causing havoc with my DD1, won't calibrate at all! Steering completely whack, and now, vjoy keeps hanging / crashing, and when it does work, data input is stuttery, Does the developer have a more in depth guide to get it going?

Ok, no matter what i try, i cannot get vJoy to recognize the proper full rotation of the DD1 wheel. only half the raw data appears in vJoy calibration. May have to check this out. I loathe the feedback in vanilla acc. It may sound strange, but if all things I think forza 7 has the best vanilla ffb. The way you describe this ffb setup for acc is how I would describe the feedback in forza 7. I know the physics in forza are shite but the ffb is pretty fantastic.

This won't affect curb shake , only way to reduce that with G29 would be to add damper , and make sure the other game road detail effect and stuff are turned down. To be honest g29 is quite a rattly wheel over bumps just due to how it works.

@@szabolcstorok5856 Should still work with a LUT file , LUT is just like an EQ for FFB changing the "shape" of the ffb signal comming out the ACCFFB app generates additional FFB information. There is only so much a G25 can do though so lots of this stuff probably wont have a massive effect.

This is great. I managed to get installed, eventually, and it feels pretty nice but, oddly, it snaps to the right for some reason. Turning to the left is as smooth as it was before but when I turn to the right its like its jumping 10-15 degrees. Right turns are so much faster than left turns, so its pretty much undrivable. I've tried to calibrate the vJoy device a few times but that doesn't change anything. Has anyone else had that problem?

Have a similar problem but in the input settings only, I know exactly what you mean. While driving its not an issue BUT my problem is that no matter how many times I calibrate the wheel the center is off axis by something like a degree or two, had to recalibrate not going all the way to one side to fix that but now other sims are wrong

Probably not , but running lower TC makes back more lively and makes the SOP FFB more obvious. Well set up TC in a GT3 car shouldn't really slow things down when simulated correctly TC should not massively slow cars down like it does in some simulators / sim cars that have it :) I think ACC actually simulates TC and ABS very realistically.

But ACCFFB, gives so much more information on under/oversteer and on the "limit" where the tyres are.. Hey i suggested this idea in the comments session of a previous video. I want royalties 😅 Dunno if I'll try it myself, when I tried irFFB and vJoy, it seriously screwed up the drivers of my Logitech DFGT for a few days, computer wouldn't recognise it properly. It's tempting, though...
@NuScorpii3 жыл бұрын
irFFB uses HID Guardian which is known to have issues with certain wheel drivers. This one uses HidHide which allows you to add the wheel settings app to the apps that can see the physical wheel so should work ok if you add the Logitech apps. Even if it doesn't you can just use HiHide to setup the vJoy wheel in ACC and then disable HiHide and everything should be back to normal.

No joy with TM TMX (non Pro), couldn't get it to work at all. HidHide listed wheel as some random 'code' (44F 67 something), ACC didn't detect a VJOY device, only showed that my TMX wasn't connected and ACCFFB didn't always detect my wheel. When i did eventually get something working, i lost all FFB. I'm thinking that it's due to the pedals needing to be directly connected to the wheelbase as opposed to being able to use seperate USB connection. It's a very early release though, so maybe things will improve over time

So, after a day trying to configure this thing i need some help, or this video is lacking a bit of informations. For information i'm using a Podium DD1 with formula v2 rim. When i set everythinh like GM, i cant use my steering wheels buttons, i cant bind gearup/down or in general using any of the steering wheel buttons... I can see different Vjoy devices on the GM video, but i have only one...do we need to configure multiple of them? GM says that the fanatec device needs to be hide in the software, but then he uses acc with the fanatec wheel unchecked in the hidehide software...maybe he registered in different moments? Anyway, after i did everything like Gm, the only thing that is recognised ingame is the steering wheel rotation as Vjoy...(also after calibration the steering wheel try to reset itself in a slightly offset rotation towards the right) andi cant use any of the button of the steering wheel . Can someone help or do a more detailed explanation? thanks :D

OK, I struggled with this as well for quite a while, but finally got it sorted. I will try and help. Here's what I know... 1. You only need one Vjoy device which has been configured to be only the x axis, zero buttons and zero POV Hat switches. All force feedback effects enabled. 2. Click 'Apply' and enable Vjoy. Restart PC after this step. 3. Startup the accFFB app and make sure it is working with Vjoy. 4. Startup the HidHide app and use it to hide your wheel from ACC. 5. Startup ACC and bind just the steering input to the Vjoy device. Now quit out of ACC. After that I had to calibrate the Vjoy device in windows to make sure the wheel was centred correctly. 6. You can now use HidHide again to unhide your wheel from ACC to use all the buttons etc. 7. Close down HidHide now, it's no longer needed. 8. Startup ACC and everything should be working correctly, good luck! Hope that helps for anyone who is having problems, cheers
