Same here... Just bought a new firestick max and went to set all this up... The app launches after SEVERAL seconds of reboot, automatically, but it opens. Thank you so much for this video! The Amazon launcher drives me crazy with all the movement and ads. And I don't think I ever watch their suggestions. This did not work for me the first time, somehow ended up with 2 launcher managers. You need to use the mini. So to others above with it not working, try again. I have a third gen cube.

This is great. Thanks, Doc. It works with my Gen 1 4k Max but seems to need a little help. I first sent the code from my ONN using a Play Store app, and then from my iMac using ADBlink. Rebooting the stick doesn't start Projectivy, so on a restart, I have to just open and close the mini and the home key will function properly after that.

I have a question. At the end of your video you say to use the back button or exit out of the app - if it gives you the option. If you use the home button, let's say in the netflix app, is it supposed to go back to the stock Amazon launcher? The reason I ask this is because this is the behavior I'm seeing. When I reboot though, as you describe in your video, I am getting into the wolf launcher.

This is awesome and has worked for setting up my fire cube 3 but I have one issue, using Wolf Launcher, I cannot open the Amazon Prime app, it does nothing, have to go into the original launcher to get prime to load. So, I had to do a factory reset last week, a right pain luckily following your channel I had all my apps saved on my PC, also got it locked down using your other app, so my Adb still works, but I have a 500 MEG package From V and on 5g I was getting around 300 meg on the firestick before , now it's around 40 Meg and very erratic, having to use 2.4 which still runs at around 60 Meg, I have shearched both Internet and KZbin but cannot find anyone with a similar issue, please help if you can, or any off your subscribers, thanks.

Still, it made it to my 4k max, but after rebooting I'm still going back to amazon launcher with all the crap. i just have to launch it with the wolf icon. Firestick 4K: Worked only temporarily with home button going to stock launcher then stopped working 😕. Then restarted Wolf Launcher with Launcher Manager mini app and blocked updates. Now even home button working properly - sometimes takes a few seconds to get to WL. A bit buggy but working. Thanks!

Thanks Doc. I have the latest update on my Fire TV stick. All I did was move my Wolf launcher to my favorites at the top screen and it is still working fine. All I have to do is click on my wolf launcher and it starts up. Great video as always, but for now I will pass on having to go through all the ADB stuff. I am sure at some point you will come up with a workaround that will make it easier for all.

Had a similar problem - couldn't get back to Android settings from Wolf Launcher. Had to open Launcher Manager Mini and choose KFTV as launcher, then go to Android. After I was through, I had to select Wolf as launcher.

The "couple of seconds splash screen" is about 7 seconds on a Fire TV stick 4K with very few things installed. 7 seconds every time you press home, so think twice about it if you want to follow this tutorial. At startup it takes around 40 seconds to load the launcher, so you are better off launching it manually, way faster, otherwise you'll be watching the new default full screen ads. And sometimes you do see the old interface when pressing home anyway. So I'm sorry but this workaround isn't practical at all, I really wished it was. Time and hopes lost for nothing.

LOL! Now that you've posted this video I guarantee that Amazon is already working on a BLOCK for this and will implement within the next 2weeks OR LESS! I have given up on these over-the-top launcher APK's that bypass the Amazon home screen at startup. There are OTHER ways to avoid the Amazon home screen that have NEVER been blocked to date and will continue to use that method with a custom shell.

@@iulianconstantin9669 ; I use the "Button Mapper" app so I setup a Long-press button on my remote that when I press it takes me to a custom shell and NEVER have to look at the ADS home screen after boot-up. You can still use ANY custom launcher. Only downside at reboot or power-up you see the main Amazon page with ADS. I can live with the trade-off vs. a custom launcher at boot that will just only get blocked which has been the case over the last few years I have dealt with. Got tired with the "Boot to custom launcher" option that ONLY gets blocked and removed over and over and over!

The latest Amazon update has broken the ADB functionality which is needed by my apps, as well as apps like mouse toggle. I would complain to Amazon chat and tell them you paid for something that you can't download any more. Tell them the app was working fine before your device was updated. My apps have not changed for months, its the Amazon update that has broken them. You can also demand a refund as you paid for something that is not available/working any more. I covered this in a recent video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4SqkmaqaNl9e6c Many people have already got a refund from Amazon.
