I've never liked wearing jewelry but I always wear a watch. I think it would be cool if they could team up with a quality watch company and have the RFID disguised in a watch that works. They could even do a few different styles of watch to suit different people.
@silentbob2678 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that might be more expensive than modifying a normal watch though. Regardless it would have to be a durable watch for me to spend money on it. I like to be able to wash my hands without ruining my timepiece.

As far as I know smartwatches are all waterproof, since they did think of this issue beforehand. I got an old LG smartwatch with my phone over two years ago, and other than the bands being worthless (changed, no issues) it never had a problem getting wet. I stopped wearing it, but that's more because I don't really like watches than any issues with smartwatches themselves.

only problem i have with this type of release mechanism is most people won't have that card on them at all times. it also takes some time to actually deploy if you needed it in a hurry. not to mention the audible beep it makes if you are trying to be quiet. i've seen similar with magnet locks with the magnet used hidden on the furniture itself or just pulling on the wood frame itself that triggers the drop. it is def a cool piece of tech; very james bond. with this type of thing i think the simpler the better. no fancy tech to unlock. just more to go wrong and more steps to take. not to mention i am sure it's very expensive.
@jhonnykankuro7 жыл бұрын
Steve_MP5 you could use a RFID bracelet or Ring or sticker in the phone case. But they took way to long to open

That's the main downside I see with this stuff, takes something you have to have with you to unlock and open. I'd rather be slightly less stealthy and have quicker, more reliable access.

@MikeForce1118 жыл бұрын
Elena Gilbert you have a decent point, but basically measures like these hidden gun safe furniture are effective for perhaps 90% of home invasion scenarios. Most of the time, an intruder won't be checking random furniture if it doesn't have obvious drawers or cabinets with stuff in it. For someone who is buying these Tact Walls furniture, they can always add real non-gun furniture together so no one is none the wiser.

Lol were those 12GA blanks or were you shooting out a back door? Tactical Walls has some great products these days. I've only bought one of their rifle length shelves so far (magnetic lock) and it's very cool. The only problem I have with these vs a standard safe is that now that these are becoming more and more common, criminals are also more and more familiar with them as well. Even though a big steel Liberty safe looks like a safe, it's still much harder to access or carry away then a shelf or table made of wood. Very neat ideas though!
