Had a locked bike stolen from garden. Had cctv, even forensics used my cctv to see where their touched so they could get clear finger prints from outside a week later. They recognised the guy, eventually arrested him, and still the police didn't submit the evidence correctly, and CPS didn't adjourn court because theif didn't turn up. Mistakes all around, case dismissed. And so the thieves do it again and again. This was a known burglar, and they had everything thry needed including location. He claimed when arrested and shown the videos on the side of my house that he was "doing some decorating in the area"... So stupid yet still walks. Government are too soft.

I had most of my work tools stolen from my locked truck. Got a good video of two guys and a woman driver. When I made a police report the police were a bit rude and " bothered " by my reporting a crime. When all was said and done I handed him a nice video of my losses. The officer really didn't care and couldn't understand why I would even have all the tools that were in my work truck ( welding fabrication ) , my thought was you have no idea how people earn a living. I simply retired soon after as I lost so much and simply couldn't justify the expence of buying / making replacements at age 71. Forced my hand to retire. Thats the bad part.

Some sixty five years ago three scum bags broke into my house and robbed my gas and electricity meters, ransacked the place, and stole all my Wife's undies. Thanks to my next door neighbor who saw the plate on their car they were caught. They had to appear in one of our local courts so myself and three of my work mates waited in the car park by their car, all in work clothes. When they came out we laid into them, one on one. I got my compensation that way. I can imagine the description they gave to police, " they was all mechanics Guvner" (We all worked in the Drawing Office)

You can blame "the system" for that. 1) Police have too much to even bother about a bicycle being stolen unless they catch the guys red handed 2) Prices are sky high for anything worth half it's money 3) Salaries are rock bottom at entry level 4) Insurance companies don't bother below a certain level (although an e-bike I would hope they would start getting warm) they simply jack up their premiums. 5) Most things are bought on a leasing plan and it's obligatory to insure them fully Start reading those in any order over and over again and: Im in NO way defending their pond life mentality, but THAT is what is going through their minds; they'll get it replaced on their insurance. There is NO excuse for it, but that's how these people work.

Thieving scroats like these are allowed to carry on by an inadequate and ineffective policing policy. You'd think with footage like this and clear evidence, you'd have an open and shut case to prosecute, right? Maybe get your bike back? BUT In my personal experience, I've had items of valuable property stolen, done all the hard work, found the address, phone number and txt message evidence of theft but after 6 months of looking into it (very low priority obviously) the police came back and said it didn't meet their 'criteria' to proceed and there was a lack of evidence lol. In other words they have a threshold, a level of crime that is set so high anything below it just gets disregarded. They'll just say report it to your insurance company, give you a crime number and say let them deal with it. Scroat gets away to steal another day, probably go on to bigger theft as they continually get away with it, you get your insurance money to get another bike, we the public just get ripped off paying over the odds insurance premiums, the police don't have to do any 'work'. Everyone's happy right?🤔😳 EDIT- All I'd do personally is put their photos out on every social media going, share the video out the same, put up posters locally, I'll guarantee they're very local, probably known crims, do the same with your stolen property, put out photos of your bike any identifying features, serial numbers etc They'll want to sell it, make that part very hard for them.... And shame them as thieving scroats, however you then run the risk of being prosecuted yourself for 'upsetting some criminal with online hate'. OMG what a crazy world we now live in.....🤔😳

Cutting a long story short - I had my motorbike nicked few years back & I noticed within 5 mins. Called the cops & told them I was going in the local park to look for it/them & was advised not to. I went anyway & 3 young 'gangsters' (coughs) ran from some bushes as I approached. I got the reg of their getaway car which was waiting for them, took my bike home & the cops arrived. My back had smashed ignition barrell etc & some crystal clear oily fingerprints all over it! I said "you'll get some great prints from these" & the cops reply was "to be honest, forensics is expensive & at the end of the day it's just a bike" 🤔🤔 I gave him the reg of their car & waited. I waited some more & then I waited some more. Nothing. After a week I phoned for an update & was told I'd got the reg number wrong as it didn't match up with a green Micra. I checked myself on the gov site & it did! I then went for a very early morning walk to an estate nearby & found the car parked up outside a really well kept house NOT! & It gave me great pleasure in sharing 2 tins of Nitromors paint stripper with their Micra. 👍

I had 2 bikes stolen all on camera, even got a shot of the guy on another camera. Cops had a look said he was known in the area and they would catch him. Eventually the cop on it stopped replying to my mails and apparently gave up. Must have known him so well they were mates.

I was expecting this to be slick, rapid opportunist crime. They took much longer than I expected, didn't seem too focussed on the task, and I really didn't expect to see the bikes being ripped off the rack if they wanted them to be in as good condition as possible for sale. I trust Mr Hampton was subsequently caught.

Seem to be some commentators here blaming the victim once again. Covered up bicycles, locked to a vehicle in a well-visited public place does not constitute fault on the loser. Thieving low-lifes that never quite manage to get locked up yet suck all kinds of public funds in the processing of their "rights" are the reason that these crimes happen. Well done for having the balls to shame and name.

Simple punishment: They must work some crappy job to earn enough to buy the exact same bike to give back to who they stole from. And no, they don’t get to keep the bike they “worked for”, that also goes back to the original owner who can do what they want with it and hopefully at least somewhat makes up for what the thieves put them through.
@oliverpolden2 жыл бұрын
@@siriosstar4789 yeah perhaps. Making them work to earn the money to pay for it gives them time to think and realise that the owner didn’t just get the bike by magic. They had to work for it. That’s what something like a £2k bike, maybe more. It would take the thieves two months of scrubbing toilets on their hands and knees for nothing. I’m pretty sure that would have an impact. Although I guess by the end of it they have no money and need to steal. I just hate the way they feel they can treat someone else’s property like that and then the victim probably gets it back in way worse condition, if at all, the alternative is excess and more expensive premiums.

Yeah this is wrong as, I wonder if this dude knows how it feels, I would of put the bikes inside the vehicle, I rang my local politics place to ask if they could get shops an super stores some sort of lock up inside the shop for expensive bikes, Or even bikes, It don't have to be expensive to be someone's only way of getting around, I don't trust those bike bars outside shops that are just hot spots for bike theives, A place of target, I refuse to lock my bike up, I only go to certain shops that allow me to put my bike in the shop, If you ask nicely an spend money a shop will allow it briefly, Even the post office allows me to take my bike with me.... But yeah I rang to see if some sort of garage lock up can be done in shops, A lot more families would do their shopping on bikes if a safe place was there too store bikes, In Europe they have big ass NCP bike parks, All under security an camera's, Could only dream of places like that here in the UK, I bet the main reason people don't use bikes to go shopping is coz locking it up is not really safe, Everyone knows but still nothing done about it, My local politition place said it was up to super stores, Them being private they have no say on what they can do, Sad really coz I would love too see more people using bikes to get around, But yeah again this is the reason nobody uses expensive E-bikes to go shopping, Simples... Yeah this is a bad move, Coz these bikes got trackers so it's a pointless raise, It's why I put a tracker in my bike an my bike ain't even that expensive I converted it myself lol, Again tho KZbin will prob have a video on how to disable the trackers on these bikes, As well as showing up an coming gangster wannabes how to go raising for E-bikes.....There is better ways of doing vids like this I'm sorry to say, Wonder did he get caught???
