Love the Camo, makes it way easier to see in the air. For a 90mm 8 beards is high praise. If I had a nice paved runway I might someday get this plane. Enjoyed the review and the flying. RBM4E

Thank you! I definitely like the Blackjack scheme. It would require some decals, but doable for sure. If I had two that would be the second scheme. MAD LOVE for GB! Thanks for watchin and commenting!

@@redbeardreviewsrc you could paint it black, with the spine centerline red. Then vinyl wrap the canard and wings with Union jack. ....... then you'd have to get a Tomcat in stars and stripes. 🤣🤣 🇺🇸

I have the 8s F22, the 6s Eurofighter, and the 6s Rafale and by far my favorite to fly overall is the Rafale due to it's all around performance, flight envelope, and power to weight ratio, followed closely by the F22. While the new Eurofighter is an amazing model and nothing to scoff at, for me it just isn't as fun to fly as the other two I mentioned due to it's slightly inferior capabilities, which include a heavier all up weight, and no inboard flaperons making it less maneuverable in slow speed and post stall acrobatics.
@redbeardreviewsrc
@redbeardreviewsrc Жыл бұрын
To each their own. I have never used flaperons on the Rafale, I was told they make it less stable and were unnecessary, so I never tried it. Eurofighters air dam works VERY well in lieu of flaps. The minimal movement of the canards with the elevator and the fact they don't work at all with the ailerons, as well as a lack of power is the reason I would choose either of the Freewings(F-22 & Eurofighter) over the FMS Rafale. At my altitude the FMS Rafale won't even crack 100mph. Both F-22 & Eurofighter WAY over. And the Eurofighter sounds MUCH better in my opinion! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great landings but they seem a bit fast to me. That model can land in high alpha like a champ!
@redbeardreviewsrc

It will definitely land slower. That was only my 5th flight so I'm still getting a feel for it. Thanks for wathchin and commenting!

It takes me about 6 flights to start to get comfortable, that 8S version was the last model I bought, and it does high alphas very well! Not as well as the 80mm Mirage, but it has plenty of power to come in at a pretty high angle and land really slowly!

@@highalpharcI don't get to fly a lot because I don't often have someone to film for me, and I can't risk losing something without it being on film. Between that and work sometimes it's like maidening all over again. 5 flights in 4 months. Wish I could fly more. Do you fly often?
@highalpharc

@@redbeardreviewsrc right now it's a busy month and it's been windy here in Florida, but I've been doing this for less than 6 months and I normally get out to the field at least 4 times a week. Most weekends I spend all day there! My mom is the one who films but if she can't be there I still come out. And I've missed some crash footage because of that but I can't not fly lol. I'm too new and excited for the hobby!
@highalpharc
@highalpharc Жыл бұрын
Also the time change doesn't help. I'm a contractor and work Monday through Friday, so when I have time after work and the wind is right, I go fly for an hour or 2, being that the field is only 10 minutes away. I would say on a normal week I get anywhere from 35 to 50 flights in. On a Saturday or Sunday I'll go through all 20 batteries, plus some more that I charge on site! So 6 months doesn't sound like much, but I have hundreds and hundreds of flights under my belt by now 😁

Outstanding repaint! 👍👍 This one is ripe for painting. Did my 8S Euro in the German Bronze Tiger, great visibility: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6LInYujfNCceNksi=MgDZ7Jx2IXWgmDh2 Use the SMC HiV 8S 4400, fully charged to 4.35 per cell and the ESC recognizes it fine. Just the luck of the draw. Have 14 FW ESC's and only 2 needed to be reprogrammed. A buddy has an 8S F22 that didn't take HiV, but that was the only one We've seen that can't be changed. Guess it's a crap shoot, but the HiV batts are the way to go, use them now exclusively.

@@redbeardreviewsrc love your videos. It does fly great on the 4400's. Danny also has an 8S 5900 HiV that weighs the same as the 8S 5300 HiV, but out of stock now. Waiting for those to come in to try on the Euro and an 8S F4.

@@redbeardreviewsrc Forgot to tell you, a buddy and I both get 4:00 on the 8S 4400HiV, for what it's worth. Possibly the lighter weight may help in flight time. How much do you get on the 5300.

@@hughwiedman9711I usually try to land at around 3:45 or so in case I need to go around. & I usually land with around 25-30% left. How hard you push it, the altitude difference. and the fact that I cant charge to 100% will account for the time discrepancy. I greatly appreciate you sharing the fact that you enjoy the videos! That means a lot. Thank you for your continued support of the channel sir!

@@redbeardreviewsrc Due to Air Force rules about movies involving... shall we say “borrowing” of aircraft, the makers of Iron Eagle had to work with the Israeli Air Force to film the flying scenes. The F-16s stayed in their desert camo scheme but had the U.S. star and bar emblem placed on them. The “enemy” aircraft were actually native Israeli aircraft called the KFIR. Basically a modified Mirage 5. RC geek made a video a few years back about modifying the Freewing Mirage 2000 to become a KFIR. Anyway your eurofighter has a similar look to the KFIR with the IAF F-16 camo job.
