Skid is so good at creating value names on the fly, that i didn't realise until Matthew pointed it out, that he wasn't merely selecting an appropriate prewritten value to fit the description they'd given. I thought he knew the book so well, he was just recalling which value would fit the players' needs.

I was in the middle of typing this when Skid mentioned my favorite episode. But speaking of favorite Star Trek characters, Sisko is the best Star Trek character ever. Hands down. Two episodes stand out overall and seal the deal for this assessment as far as I'm concerned. The first being "The Visitor" and the second, "In the Pale Moonlight." The Visitor never, NEVER, fails to bring on the waterworks and I've seen the episode too many times to count. There are not many episodes in Star Trek that focus on family, But the Visitor does and the episode does it in spades. My literal personal favorite episode. I watch it every Father's Day. "In the Pale Moonlight" shifted what I think we collectively think of Starfleet captains. And set the tone for Deep Space Nine for the rest of the series run.

52:00 Let it be known that "Values" are phrases that you can invoke/challenge to spend/earn Determination. When you spend a point of Determination, you can buy one d20 to add to your roll that is automatically considered to have rolled a 1 and counts as two successes. You can also spend a point of Determination to keep yourself from dying in the current scene.

Random comment, there is often a naming convention for a class of ship. For example, United States naval Battleships are named after U.S. States; Aircraft Carriers are names after Presidents. Smaller ships are often named for cities.

Replicator reprocssors break down everything to base Chemiacl's Put anything in (ore, crystals, plants, animals) and it becomes chemicals, Ships Have Hydoponics bays/Arboretums/parks(on starbases) full of plants atleast up to the next Generation were you get Holodecks,though I think Big ships like the Galaxy class still have Hydroponics,were "fresh food" is grown for the crew, Improving Replicator functions is a constant in ST were various characters add thier "recipies" to the replicator menues :)

1:18:20 Let it be known that "Focuses" are used for when you roll d20s. If you have the corresponding Focus, say "Hand-Phasers", you get an additional success when you roll your Discipline number or below on that d20. The one off characters is where its at. Did you know the main bad guy Xindi dude on Enterprise is Negan from the walking dead. He almost quit acting for ever because of the make up. He was claustrophobic and couldn't take the time in the chair it took to put all the xindi makeup on him. I am a huge TOS and TNG fan. I love all the novels. But TOS holds a special place in my hart. Again I used to hold.these big woods parties but in would leave early just to catch midnight TOS. I would come home super stoned. Sneak in just to watch trek. Lol.

2:24:15 Why is Alicia given the choices for Admiralty from the Command Division rulebook? Fleet Liaison Officer and Strategic Operations Officer are not available to normal characters. Those are for Admiralty campaigns when you are dealing with having all the characters be admirals and admiral's staff. I mean, the GM can let her take it, but the special ability that it grants will probably never get used.

When generating the Captain or XO maybe make one with a eye toward uniqueness. This starship of misfit toys didn’t get put together by accident. Maybe they were involved in a drive to get more perspectives in the fleet and was involved with Alicia and Kates characters since they joined the fleet. It could make free exchanges with command of the ship easier possibly.

I don’t know if Kate stated if her Ferengi was a male or female but her character may have went Federation to escape the restrictions of being a female and let her wear clothes, travel, and allowed to earn a profit. Good motivator to try out Starfleet maybe.

For the major ones kind of! There was an episode of TNG(Pretty sure) were the Enterprise, some Klingons and some Romulans are all hunting for this elusive treasure and all it is is a message from a SUPER SUPER ancient race that apparently all of them are spawned from. There wasn't a whole lot of science about it just the Romulans and Klingons insulting each other, and everyone else, and saying that this CANNOT be true because they could never be related to weak and stupid beings such as (the others) and that was about it.
