Glock needs to just go ahead and put this trigger in their factory handguns, and move on from their current triggers. " I love my stock Glock trigger" said almost no one that has ever felt a good trigger.

I have to say that I actually like the stock trigger. Now, I give all my stock Glock triggers the 25 cent trigger job. Smoother than out of the box, a touch lighter pull (maybe a half pound), and zero issues. Are there better triggers on the market? Yes. Why I don’t buy them is I want to be able to pick up anyone’s firearm if it’s the only one available and stay in the fight.

I got mine today and I already shot about 150 rounds out of my stock g19 gen 5 that I bought last week. I spent about half an hour on the stock trigger and felt how it went up on the wall and felt a little mushy but not by much. I installed the performance trigger and don't notice like a huge "wow" difference but I did notice a difference in how the wall feels. It does feel like it breaks right away instead of having any mushy part. The biggest upgrade I got was the extended slide release tat really helps with reloading with just my index finger on the right side. It feels exactly like my AR15 now with the bad lever and 2 stage trigger.

I installed this Performance Trigger on my G19X, and what a difference. I can put the attached laser on an object, get to the wall and then a crisp break. The movement is so minimal it’s amazing. Reliability, durability, and performance at this price point makes the G19X an all around perfect firearm… for me anyway.

Just remember, you can't upgrade your way to mastering the fundamentals. No matter the gun or trigger, the primary limiting factor in a guns speed and accuracy is the person pulling the trigger. Sure, when I pull the stock trigger on my glock slowly, I notice all the imperfections people complain about, but when I'm actually at the range shooting, I notice ZERO of those imperfections. If you are unfortunate enough to need your gun to defend your self or another, you will not notice the trigger pull, and if you haven't already mastered the fundamentals, then a trigger upgrade isn't going to matter.
@Swamprowdy
@Swamprowdy Жыл бұрын
And if you are in a self defense situation, you won't be shooting to reset. You will be so jacked-up, reset and light trigger action won't be your main concern; saving your life will be #1. When I shoot my stock G19, I practice more caombat shooting, and not 1 inch groups shooting to reset.

Jeeze, I thought we were talking triggers. My EDC is a Sig P938 and my full sized open carry is a 1911 converted to 460 Rowland ( In the woods mostly). And finally, my mid size concealed carry is a HK P90 with the LEM trigger. This lineup hasn’t changed in over a decade except the Rowland conversion. I get it, fundamentals and in reality you better not shoot anyone from an appreciable distance or you’re going to prison. So the fact that I’m able to hit an 18 inch plate from 100 yds with a 2011 or Shadow 2 isn’t going to be relevant in a likely self defense situation and a light trigger is a liability when you have a 190 bpm heartbeat and someone is shooting at you. Thus the significant rd count and holster wear on the above choices.

Very smooth all the way through. What an improvement, more accurate, faster follow up, I'm very happy with it . G-45 , G-43x . Mushy - spongy stock trigger is THE reason I want to get GPT. But then I hear that with time, the more you use it stock trigger becomes better, less mushy -spongy. Which makes sense. Is it true that GPT needs to be lubed every thousand or 1.5K shots? Or that it gets dirty after few thousand rounds and starts to gum up, not reset ? If so I'm keeping my polished stock trigger with 3.5lb connector.

A heavier striker spring doesn’t really affect this trigger, because the striker is already being held in the rear position when it’s cocked. I EDC a G19X, one of the first things I did was switch the trigger for an Apex trigger.Even though I’m happy to see Glock doing improvements and bringing us new products, I think they have gotten complacent over the years. I spent well over 1,500$ on modifications for my G19X (milled slide, stippling, threaded barrel etc) when other companies are selling their products out of the box with many modifications. Again, I commend Glock for doing improvements but I’m sure they can do much more without passing the cost to the consumer.

All my handguns (Glock and Walther) have after purchase triggers. Walther's Dynamic Trigger is a very solid improvement over its already very good trigger. For my Glocks, I've bought GlockStore and Johnny Glocks triggers. I've never had issues with my Johnny Combat triggers but my GS triggers especially one in particular I've had both failure to feed and eject. After having either issue at the range, I'll replace that trigger with the original and have no issues for many magazines. But I'm about as forgiving on that trigger as JC himself and I'll put it back into the Glock. But the cycle won't repeat itself bc I'm just going to buy a Glock Performance Trigger. If I had to get rid of all my guns except for 2 I'd go with my Glock 17 and my Ruger PCC that I switched over to use Glock mags. I've had every version of Glock 17 since 1992. I love deep mountain camping and that combo saves space and weight and has served me extremely well for years. Had my backpack rigged out for the PCC that can separate. I know people will tell me there are better pistols and PCCs but honestly if the system isn't broke I'm not going to waste my money changing it up. I'm not a Glockhead. I have H&K, CZ, Canik, Springfield, Sig, Taurus .22, and Walther pistols and absolutely love all of them for different reasons like I love all 7 of my boys. Each are uniquely great in different ways. However, I have never in in my life ever even held a Glock 19, no idea why. Yesterday I had to get my lawnmower blades sharpened at the D&B Supply so while I was waiting I talked to the good ole boy who works the gun counter. Long story a bit longer, I was messing around with the latest Glock 19 and is fantastic. Don't know if it had the performance trigger or not but whatever they did on this particular pistol I'm a huge fan. Glock will never go away. Every new pistol is a "Glock Killer" but Glock just keeps doing what it does putting tons of pistols in tons of people's hands.

Great gun, but the hollow roll pin takedown on the p10c is a PITA. Kept having to order extra pins and wait weeks sometimes if the ends splinter is no fun, something to be said for availability of parts and easy takedowns on Glocks.

Roger that on the cheap sights ! I do like the Glock. But everytime I get one I cuss them for those plastic sights. There is no reason, for what the Glock cost, to not have metal sights. And I've never been a fan of the screw on front sight set up. I've had more than one front sight come loose. And I agree, I've never had a problem with the Glock trigger.

@@epps1217 I think if the firing pin is partially or fully cocked is not that important for safety because todays firing pin safeties are very reliable and the gun won’t fire until you pull the trigger. For safety all that matters is probably just the trigger weight and you could make a single action trigger with a nice break but still being over like 5 pounds and then I think it’s fine for safety. However on the p365 one thing to consider is that it also does not have a trigger safety.

I had one in a Glock 45. It would fail to reset once it got a 100ish rounds in it. Cleaning helped. But came right back. The rubbing on the frame and magazine is just to much for the weak spring to overcome. I polished everything. Cleaned up burrs it still did it . Complete garbage.

I put a Timney in my G45 because I have them in other Glocks, but it didn't perform and I had light strikes and a rather weird feel. However, I had a new Glockstore Pyramid gen 5 trigger sitting around, and it works great- very much like this new Performance trigger. If I hadn't already had the Pyramid, I'd definitely get the Glock factory Performance trigger (for half the price).

I can't imagine this is going to be better out of the box than the Overwatch Precision drop in with a complete polish job on the trigger bar radius, metal on metal face, and the cruciform surface, and then breaking the edge off and polishing the bottom edge of the trigger bar radius and the underside of the cruciform kick-up. Takes all of the springy/crunchy feel out and makes is smooth as glass with about a 4-4.5 lb pull. With that nice OP flat trigger with the index hook at the bottom...perfect for EDC.

It seems like the Glock performance trigger is quite a bit cheaper than the Overwatch or Timney triggers, at least here in Europe. It's also the only option if you want to shoot IPSC production because you're not allowed to use 3rd party triggers in that division. OEM replacements are fine though.

an sub-3lb aftermarket trigger won't magically "un-justify" a legal shooting, but it could result in an ND in a high-stress situation. anyone who doesn't recognize that very real possibility of human error hasn't trained hard enough. unintentional double-taps or firing before you're on target is a huge concern when tired after 7 hours of a 8 hour class and your hands are going numb from firing a case of ammo in a day.
