The Scuttletide would have required a 9 to dispel, due to the “Endless Terrors” rule. “While this endless spell is wholly within 12” of any Arachnarok units, it can only be dispelled with a dispelling roll of 9+”.

I'm all for Clan Moulder Josh! They're my favorite subfaction for the rats. The Rat Ogors will carry you to victory for sure! With a squad of 4, you can easily get them all in and stay in coherency and with a Master Moulder whipping them, you can send them through a gnawhole for a pretty decent 6" charge to decimate something.

Do the moulder list, it's really good, and fun, I had a 4 man unit of rat ogors kill the everqueen first turn. Also if you whip the ogors they add 3 to there charge rolls, so if you go though the gnaw holes it's a 6 inch charge

A mostly pure Clan Moulder list can include Stormfiends because they are Moulder. So Rat Ogers and Stormfiends with Hell Pit Abominations could be possible. The Emerald Host from Nighthaunt is the worst Death faction that I have played against because of the semi-constant Mortal wounds. Thank you for the video.

Totally fine with letting them take back the command point. But why would it be game over if the gnawhole was usable? Teleport 17 rats (taken off the furnace and middle to take bottom obj. Seems like 3 units of spider riders could shoot them charge and kill 17 rats pretty easily. Wouldn't it be at most 2 point difference in score? What am I missing?

I fully understand why you would allow the extra command point since it was stated and Luka is distracted filming etc. etc. and i enjoy that you guys do that to get us better games. However, being a long time fan and knowing how much Luka spikes the piss out of his dice ALL THE TIME!!!! I woulda just kept goin. If anything it kind of showed how with half decent rolls the spiders arent half bad.

I was mostly disappointed in the lack of stuff for spiders. I've got a bunch of guys and while they did get some buffs, compared to other armies (or squigs/ trolls), they didn't get much.I still like the arachnaroks though, but imagine how useful Gift of Da Spider God (heal 1d6) would have been for this match? I do have a Skaven Pestilens army, which has actually never lost! But it's not really to my liking so I'm selling them. The Corrupter didn't do anything when I tried him with someone elses model, a couple grey seers were more fun.

Hey I just wanted to point out for you guys and anyone wanting to re-create this spider list. The Webspinner Shaman on Arachnarok Spider has lost the HERO keyword in the new book for some unfathomable reason, so he can't actually take any artefacts. Hopefully this was just a mistake and will be FAQ'd because it's dumb IMO, but for now it is what it is.

A full Moulder list would be pretty good. Better than Pestilens in my opinion. Moulder units are fast, hit hard, and die hard. Your main trait is that your Rat Ogres and Giant Rats respawn on a 3+, thanks to the Master Moulder's command trait. In addition, Giant Rats and Rat Ogres can be whipped by them, which allows them to get +3 to charge. The play is to give a unit of 18 Giant Rats +1 attack from Skavenbrew, Death Frenzy, then whip them, and send them through a Gnawhole for a 6" charge into your opponent's frontline, do massive damage with their -2 rend, do it again when they die, then respawn them on a 3+. You're able to play more fast and loose with the ability to respawn a unit. Rat Ogres just hit like a truck, and are very tough. Giant Rats are good as cheap speedbumps and fast objective grabbers even when not reinforced, since they move 8, and get +3 to run when whipped for an average of 14-15" movement. Hell-Pits are odd in that they don't interact with the Master Moulder's abilities, they just get the pre-game mutation, of which really 1 is good, 2 are ok, 1 is situationally good, 1 is bad, and 1 is why would I ever take that. The Hell-Pits do hit extremely hard when they can get in, and they got a points drop. Moulder is essentially a 4 unit subfaction since Wolf rats and Brood Horrors are legended (and a bit shit), and Packmasters are just useless compared to Master Moulders unless you desperately need to shave 30 points. Thanks to the new GHB, I think Rat Swarms are also a bit useless, since Rat Swarms' only real niche was to act as a woundsponge for a Masterclan hero, but they aren't battleline so they can't prevent shooting like the Giant Rats would. I built my force of Giant Rats in 2nd ed, when you could take 40 per unit, so I have 100. In the Plague Monk kit, you get 16 additional little "basing rats", which is what everyone uses for Giant Rats, in addition to the ones in the actual set, and Doomwheel set, and wherever else you can find some rats, so it's quite cheap to build up a bunch of them. I don't think I've used more than 36 since the new tome though. The Rat Ogres are notoriously ugly, but if you can find some Island of Blood ones, then you're solid. You can get them through ebay or random joblots, but also from the darker corners of the web. No comment. I also got some Blood Bowl ones because I like to collect them. I have the one official Master Moulder +2 little conversions. All you need is a rat with a whip on a 32mm base. I have 4 Hell-Pits; one official, then a couple of conversions, and one big fat 3d-printed rat. The Rat Swarms I made out of the Vermintide endless spell. I'd say the Rat Ogres would be the most costly part of this army, but 8 is a good amount for a 2k game. You'll want some magic in here, so Thanquol and a Verminlord, or a Grey Seer would fit the bill.

I'm severely arachnophobic, and I will say that the spiders painted in bright, saturated colors that spiders don't normally come in don't bother me as much. Especially those big red arachnoroks, which also have the more cartoony faces. I still wouldn't touch any of them, but if you're looking to make future spiders for the show more friendly to arachnophobes, I'd avoid black, brown, or white spiders and go with bright reds, blues, and greens.
