We have the 5" filters version as we are no longer full timing, their water softener and hoses. All very high quality and performs quite well, we are happy.

Quick disconnects are 304 SS…compare the number of ball bearings in the female to others. They don’t leak. Also, BT is a veteran owned company based in MI. After 2 years of use highly recommend their products.

I've had the Clearsource 10" 3 stage since 2020. Have worked well. The jugs are a little discolored by sun but that's about it.

The more I think about Rv water filtration systems, the more I think it’s a big money grab based on fear of bad water from wells etc. of course everyone needs to do what is right for them but I have been using a one 10”cartridge system for six years of full time RVing and never had a issue. I use the Evo 5.0 micron filter and water softener. It tastes great and nice and clean looking. Out of curiosity I bought a 3 in 1 filter which is.2 microns. It has a carbon section and sediment section. I will let you know how that stacks up when I change the filter again in 3 months.

I've found lately with the more intense droughts water quality problems are more frequent. Both in the spring and fall when we were at an RV park in Lund BC they were under boil water advisories. So was nice to have the peace of mind that the water was well filtered.

Ray what's your thoughts on those reverse osmosis single spout counter install, n compact install under the sink systems? 🍻

Funny you should ask. I tried a counter top one a couple years ago and it worked well got rid of the dissolved solids but took up too much space so gave it to Anne's nephew since the have hard water at their well. I haven't heard how it went. The same company Sim Pure wants me to review an under counter tankless model with UV purification. So I think I may take them up on the offer and give it a try. See how Anne likes the taste. She does notice when we are in very hard water areas in the desert. I'll then take the existing Acuva UV purifier and install it on the boat.

Thanks for your vids. I also use aqua water blatter. Questions: Does this filter out sediment that builds up in water heater tanks? Backstory: my mom has 19g tank in Tucson (very hard water). I don’t want to add softener because of the slipperiness of softened water. Q2: Do you have water meter affixed or do you keep a running tally? Most water filters say they’re good for xxx gallons. Q3: Have you thought of paying for water test to either prove or disprove their claims?

It will filter out any sediments larger than 0.2 micron but not solids that are dissolved in the water which is usually what ends up in water heaters as mineral deposits. I don't leave a fixed meter attached. I just can guestimate based on how many times on average I have to fill the water tank. I always use the tank and onboard pump versus city water input. Reduced flow rate is also a good indication the filters are clogging up and need changing. The company recommends changing every 3-4 months in case of bacteria formation. They have been independently tested by third parties and have NSF/ANSI/CAN 61-2023 certifications I'm not sure where I could have water tested?

Hello Troy here was the reply "We could potentially upgrade a Trio or an AR3, but it would require new canisters and a new frame (AR3). So it is possbile, but would require some cost associated for the swap." They also informed me "We received rave reviews on this 5" system and all of our testing show high performance level for well/municipal for 3-4 months. If you saw less then 3-4 months of performance, it maybe because you are primarily off grid.

Ray, have you had any issues with your Acuva? Mine is not functioning after a short time of using it. Acuva is not responding to my inquiries trying to get it fixed.

No, mine has worked well since summer of 2021. Maybe they are on Christmas holidays. Is it not powering up?

Oh, thanks for the update, I hadn't heard that. I noticed the Lippert sells a Acuva branded system called Acuva Wanderer 2.0 Water Purifier for RVs and Boats I wonder if they might take it over

With a multimeter I would check if there is 12 VDC at the plug end. So you can know if its a problem with the power feed or something inside the unit.
