@@AutomateYourLife something you and I spoke about forever ago. Recap: I have a flashing light for a doorbell notification (deaf) but nothing audible. I do hear and so does my hubby but when I take my hearing aid out I rely heavily on the flashing but the flashers are behind doors. I was wanting to put a sensor on the flasher to notify us on our phones or via Google. I think we couldn't find a sensor that reacted to the flashers. I was thinking of boxing the senor so the only light that shines on the sensor would be the flasher. It is what it is lol.

The answer is it likely doesn't at this point. I have yet to see a screenshot of someone who does have it, but my understanding is it should change from saying Cast OS to Fuchsia OS on the About/devices page. :)

I've been trying so hard to keep going on Google as a secondary system in my home but they make it so difficult - it doesn't do the basics - doesn't do integration with Phillips Hue well like removing lights that have been removed in Phillips Hue (can't even remove a light manually), Wemo, picks up 2 of 3 devices ignores the 3rd no matter what you do, Tuya, very inconsistent, terrible with cams. I'll keep trying but they make it very difficult.

@@AutomateYourLife Well, the issue is none of it happens with Alexa or with Home Assistant for that matter. The lack of manual options to delete or discover switches and lights is what makes it frustrating. Google support is a dead end!

Hey just a question, ¿Do you have to change any specific setting on your ISP in order for Nest Wifi to work properly? My Nest Router alone works absolutely perfect, I love it, but as soon as I connect the point every once in a while any device connected to the point will randomly connect and disconnect, or connect without wifi for like 2 or 3 minutes. :c

That sounds like it could be interference going on Andres. It shouldn't work like that though at all and your Nest Router working on its own suggests that your ISP is good with everything. I'd actually talk to Google's support on this one, and maybe check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6fapX2Pd86ci68 There's an app in there that could help identify interference. :)

How can we tell if the WebRTC is already working in our Nest Hubs 2?? I'm able to see my Arlo Pro 2 cameras without problems, however I'm wondering if in case it is already activated it may be the cause the device is not able to cast from any video source after streaming the cameras?? I've contacted Google support but their response is "it may not work because you are using the device outside US" which i don't think is the case....

I can't tell yet with Arlo...what I can tell you is that it's not yet working with Wyze. I don't think it's because you're using it outside of the US. That whole casting thing you got going on there, I don't get at all. If I run into it...I'll let you know.

Brian, can you do for me a test with a GOOGLE HUB (gen 1) that is having the new "FUCHSIA" OS version? Since I have this on that device, it is not possible anymore to CHROMECAST LOCAL CONTENT to this device. On my other NEST HUB MAX everything is still working fine. So if you use VLC mediaplayer on a Windows 10 PC and in the PLAYBACK/RENDER I choose this GEN1 device, then nothing is happening. If I choose the NEST HUB MAX everything is OK. If you have the same problem, maybe you can report this in your next video, perhaps more people are having this problem. I normally use on my phone an application like "Dream Player" to cast live broadcasts from my DREAMBOX SAT RECEIVER to this GEN 1 in the kithcen when maken dinner. But this is already now for 5 weeks not working anymore. And i don't know anyone else with a GEN 1 device to do a test myself.

Do you know I created a home theatre using the google home speaker thought its not the official way to do , all you need to do is open youtube music and play the video there then cast it to your chromcast and then go to google home app and add the speaker and there you go , there is video on the tv and voice on the speakers

Hey Stuart! I'd say that August's 4th gen is a pretty safe bet right now. The Yale stuff seems like it needs an update, but to be honest I'd rather have a doorlock go through a smart home hub like SmartThings or Hubitat if you got it. Then make it Z-Wave :)
