Plastic Beach was never destroyed. Originally the island being pulled from the ocean was gonna be the end of Gorillaz completely, but obviously that didn't happen lol Jamie mentioned in a few interviews that some entity similar to a god would pull it out like a plug, draining the entire universe as we know it

Luckly or unluckly they ran out of budget and couldn't finish the rest of their music videos which is why Rhinestone eyes music video is non Canon in my eyes.

@@brianbread7698 Yeah, especially during the end phase 3 was kind of a mess. Nothing wrong with that tho, there's a reason why it's a fan favorite. Glad it was neatly wrapped up after the hiatus and smoothly lead to Humanz & its storyline

@@brianbread7698 I disagree in terms of rhinestone eyes being non-canon. As you can see a pirate ship, that could be the same one that belonged to the Boogeyman. It’s still believable to be canon, just that after the complete Invasion of the pirates, they all escaped and lived their own lives for awhile before reuniting once more for Humanz. The DoYaThing music video though, is definitely non-canon.

The fact that Plastic Beach is hinted at coming back is very exciting for me! _Plastic Beach_ and _Demon Days_ often go back and forth for my favorite Gorillaz album personally. If a sequel album to PB does happen in the future, I'm definitely all for it!

Damn I actually loved this video. Sure it was a little repetitive, but honestly, I didn’t know what it was from until I saw the comments and the classic driving video brought back Stylo and 19-2000 feels for me. Seeing Noodle drive was an absolute treat, and then the reveal at the end with Plastic Beach was an absolute jaw dropper. Up until now, all of the events of Song Machine only loosely fit together as a narrative, but I have a feeling we’re hitting on the point where we finally get some answers and find out how it all connects! I can’t wait for The Lost Chord!

This or Pink Phantom are probably my two favorite songs off of the Song Machine but this is hands down my favorite video. Noodle has always been my favorite character from the group and seeing her evolve into this uberprotective badass throughout the phases has been a blast and her just going nuts across Los Santos just makes me smile. That and they basically imply 2D and Beck are face timing and just doing a jam session when he is riding in the back seat makes me laugh

The story is that there's really no story anymore. Or at least the story is nowhere near as involved as it was from the debut album to Plastic Beach/The Fall. It really feels like Damon has just given up on that front and is just focusing now squarely on the music, which i can appreciate. This is easily the best that Gorillaz has been in years.
