The Salvation Army in partnership with the Handbell Musicians of America and the Mall of America set a new Guinness World Record with 664 handbell musicians playing the same piece of music for five minutes. The event broke the previous held world record of an ensemble of 564 handbell musicians in Japan. The new world record was set on Sat., Nov. 19 and kicked off The Salvation Army's Kettle Campaign for 2016.
Lt. Col. Lonneal Richardson of The Salvation Army Northern Division and Michael Emprick of The Guinness Book of World Records, along with 664 handbell musicians from 24 states are featured in the video.
