I'm Japanese Gundam Breaker fun. I feel very sad that this catastrophic shitty game is sold in other countries. Other Gundam Breaker is very good game, but this garbage have no attracts. This game is a disgrace to Japan, and it must be buried under ground like Atari E.T.

This game is so focused at the dating sim part, not the actual gameplay. It's flopped really hard since. They still have the chance to fix it, but in the mean time people might just turned on to Gundam Breaker 3 instead.

You didn't mention the change they did to build part; although that might have ended up in the bad. That While we have 1 extra part slot and more build parts to choose from, the weapon build parts don't have functionality anymore. Instead all build part give contradictory stat changes. Example: You equip a part that makes it easier to break parts off enemies, it also makes it easier for them to break parts off you. You deal extra EX damage you take extra EX damage. Etc. That is a big drop from what parts did in 3.

My biggest gripe with this game is the fact the builder parts are nothing more than extra stats and decorations whereas in GB3, you can put on like 5 swords or 5 pods of missiles on your build and EACH of them are actually functional. Now you're stuck with juggling stats and adding decorative pieces. They really put the gameplay on backburner for this one.

I found this game to be unbearable. I was extremely hyped the concept sounded unbelievable like some sort of a dream. The story is terrible, the part system in combat is just much to clunky. The point base system is chaotic. The game tries to do too much and fails in each aspect. I don’t know how you mess up cool robots doing cool shit but they did. If anyone cares about how I felt about it please watch my video on it.

I really HATE this Gundam game because it can be considered as one of the worst Gundam game of all time. First of all, in other Gundam breaker games, you can collect parts without putting them into the box but New Gundam Breaker added the box feature and there is only five slots of parts for player to collect and you must go to wherever the box is to successfully collect parts. This really not quite encouraging players to collect parts. However, players can only make their own Gunpla stronger by collecting parts. This only makes the game a torture experience for players. Also, there is no longer leveling parts system. That means that players can't really build their favorite customize Gunpla to complete the game. And the EX skill function is one of the worst thing in this game. EX skill can let player use weapons or special features in such Gunpla such as Unicorn Gundam's NTD , RX78 Gundam's backpack beamsabers and Guncannon's shoulder cannons. This function is one of the best thing in this Breaker games. Players can use them freely in anytime in every battle in the previous games. However, in New Gundam Breaker, players must unlock EVERY EX skill in EVERY SINGLE Battle in order to use them. Some players even said that they can't even unlock one single EX skill in a battle. Finally, the only own saling point of this game is the Graphical novel story but the story is really boring. The main goal of this whole game is to fight the Student Union and make the school a peaceful place again. Therefore, I will only said that New Gundam Breaker is a Graphical Novel/10

So I manage to get the game... bought it too and it doesn't work... The game crashes on me on start menu or writing a name and pff. I use a AMD a8 4500m APU with radeon HD graphics 1.90ghz. I don't know if it's my laptop that sucks, the game or something else. Any help would work out for me.

i really enjoys visual novels and when i heard that they're making a gundam game with vn storytelling AND also with a PC release, i was totally looking forward to it. a gundam game with tons of customization even better than armored core and also with a bit of vn elements? count me in. never played any of the previous gundam breaker since i dont own a console, but was quite disappointed after hearing such a poor gameplay. still, im a huge dynasty warriors fan and i can still enjoy dw9 despite on how "bad" it is. so how bad can this be? i just hope they wont cancel the PC release after such a poor reception as it has the most potential to be the "better" among the console counterpart with mods and patches. though i will still buy it if we still get our PC port.

While I would love to be able to create any suit with the highest stats possible and then level them up and create a goddamn arch gundam of death, I think it's quite sensible in a hack and slash game to limit just how strong you can be, trading the massive skills for the look you want seems like a decent way to make sure you're not gonna become OP in ten minutes and then sail through the story, no?

captaindropkik The problem is that the game premise is this: You build your gundam (mobile suit rather) so it looks they way you want it. Divorcing the stats from the parts enables maximum freedom. Selecting your weapons and skills freely means that yes the player will try to munchkin. As a aeveloper, you counter this by mutual exclusive choices and special mob types geared to cheese the cheese. Betraying the basic premise of your game is not the way to go.

Yeah true, I hated when they did it in DB Xenoverse, where clothes were restricted to certain abilities and I couldn't look the way I wanted. Unfortunately as this is the first PC gundam game I feel I absolutely have to support it in the hope that when they correct this blip, as I imagine they will in the next full price game... they will also release that on PC

The level of detail of building Mechs in Armored Core is on a completely different level and if you are being honest you know its true. I'm not saying there aren't decent Gundam games I'm saying as far as quality of customization and strategy comparing Gundam Breaker to Armored Core there is not even close! Armored Core is a much deeper experience in my opinion. But if you disagree I respect that.

It is a bit of a process, but once you set up a separate account, buy PSN cards for that shop and get the DLC, you can play it through your main account. It’s well worth it in my opinion.

@@InfiniteBacklogGameReviews What I meant by the customization is not just like the Gundam Breaker 3 where you can only use parts that related to the Gundam franchise itself, but it can also from other franchise, like Kotobukiya weapon stuffs. Even scratchbuilds that only the scratchbuilders can designed it (I dunno about the Kotobukiya part, though. It could be a lot more complicated). A lot more than just simply mashing up parts from the game.

you'd probably either be better off emulating it via RPCS3 for what it was, or just get yourself an PCSX2 to emulate the first two DW : Gundam Series and the vast majority of PS2 Gundam games instead, they're nowadays (save for the RPCS3 titles) are easy to emulate

I actually liked New Gundam Breaker to an extent. I liked the plot as I thought the main plot being that you essentially lead a revolution to bring down a corrupt student council that is ruling Gunbre High like a fascist dictatorship is a nice break from the usual plot recycled in the last three Gundam Breaker games and most games/anime of this genre which is compete as a part of a model robot VR combat team to win a major tournament while getting wrapped up in a much more darker and mature sub-plot along with most of the characters including the main villains were being likeable except for 1 minor villain who was more annoying/irritating then threating and I thought most of the filler arcs focusing on certain characters were not bad some good examples where Yui's arc tied very nicely into the main plot while also providing more insight into her friendship with the main hero and proving she's his canon girlfriend, Ryoko's focused on her regaining her honor and fixing her friendship with Yui. and Miriaka's focused on her over-coming her low self-esteem problem and becoming the awesome builder that she is. Also I thought a lot of the mechanics were good in concept but was 50/50 in execution for example the quest system during missions, and the whole idea of G-Cube Battles were a good idea done well as it help make missions more interesting with various objectives popping up and there's a greater focus on actually working with your AI teammates. But the other mechanics were not that good the combat mechanics, the way skills are utilized, the customization itself, and the handling of difficulty spikes could've been handled a lot better.
