NEW GWENT CYCLE PROGRESSION GUIDE AND OVERVIEW

Today's patch added a new reward system - in this video, I will describe how the new system works and how to get the rewards more efficiently.
Gwent is a free-to-play collectible card game that is based on The Witcher universe. It first became famous when the developer CD Projekt Red built it into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but now it comes in a stand-alone version as well - that means no previous Witcher 3 experience or knowledge is necessary! Even for Witcher veterans, you'll notice several changes to the game that give it a different feel than the Witcher 3 version.

well thats me. I play only for quests, since im a F2P player. If I win, I win. if I lose, I lose. and I could lose like 10 times in a row its ridiculous but I got cycle progression, which is good. lol

Hard to say what's "optimal" when it depends so much on which quests you have to complete, but enough people have asked that I might make a video for the one(s) that I use most often. As I said in this video, there's usually a tradeoff between decks that are good at quest completion and decks that are good for maximizing wins, so where to strike that balance is mostly personal preference. I think I've found at least one deck that is a decent middle ground though

Hm, about the requirement to play in Ranked... I had a quest to apply Shields to select cards. Threw together a NR deck and did Practice against players. It never progressed, however, another quest asked me to damage units with select cards, and that one DID complete.

Yeah, I've seen some funky stuff happening with cycle quests automatically giving me a new one after finishing a quest, so I wouldn't be _too_ surprised if it's a little buggy for the first day or two

@@LidsVidsTV Yeah, think I'm going to ignore it until they allow Training v Players to count. No way I'm risking Ranked using broken deck - I find it difficult to rank up as it is!

Yeah, I'll be very interested to see how the system affects ranked play - it might be easier to rank up if half of your opponents are just trying to spam a certain kind of card, rather than play competitive decks

@@RickReasonnz Unless you're getting pro, you don't get anything for having a higher rank than 7 (15 reward keys). The only thing you gain from going higher up in rank is playing against better piloted annoying meta decks.

Yeah, that's one of several reasons why I don't usually bother to play ranked matches

hi ! I never get EASY quest proposed....BUG ? no problem with the two other levej... Playing RANK now became very...funny when you face a deck for leveling quests...MEME World now !

Yeah, after finishing some quests, I didn't get new ones when the timer said I would - I think they are still working out some bugs with it
