The Hamilton Ventura worn by Tony Stark at Spider-Man movie was awesome. It looked like haute horologie. These new watches were not cool. Sorry. Hamilton got it right in many movies and videogames. However, Dune was not the case.

I am a huge Dune movie fan, and I am a watch fan. These are god awful. Looks like something from the knock off isle in Wal-Mart toy section, and honestly, I don't even know what they're trying to reference in Dune with that design. I just watched the film in the cinema last weekend in prep for Dune 2 release, and I still don't know what they're a reference to. If given this watch with 0 context, I'd have thought it was some Star Wars off brand. What a miss from the company.

That's gonna be a pass from me. Huge money for a movie crossover quartz is tough to swallow. I remember getting a toy watch in a kids meal when Jurassic Park 2 came out--that watch was awesome and I was 11 and the world was good.

I’ve seen Dune. The 1984 film and the 2021 version. And I’ve read the books. Absolutely love the story. Better than Star Wars IMO. BUT I think they could have done better with these watches. Don’t get me wrong. They’re pretty cool, but could be cooler. I mean Seiko made the watch that Ripley wore in the movie Aliens and it looks EXACTLY like the one in the film! Just sayin.

Good luck to anyone who parts with cash for these. Dune nerds may be interested? There is product placement of a real watch ( omega) and then there is selling novelties at inflated prices. Best bet will be to buy a similar model off etsy etc. That model will maybe align.

Crazy prices! The analogue doesn't look good at all, especially since those hands can't hit the indices for that price. Something about it looks a bit cheap. The digital is the pick....it looks better, but way too expensive. For well heeled uber-fans. Me, I would pick up a $150 Swatch version....

These are way too expensive. The second watch looks like it using their pulsar tech from that watch. So it is a Ventura case with black pvd with the pulsar tech with blue instead of red numbers.

An interesting bunch Harrison (as always) but I'll probably decline a purchase. The digital Ventura is the one that I prefer but I'm not in the market. As for a Bond watch? Well I'll be hanging on to my few year old Hamilton PSR that was a reimaging of the Pulsar from the opening part of "Live and Let Die", that introduced Roger Moore to the role. I love that watch. It gets quite a few comments like "why?". Each to their own I guess as Brian once said "we're all different".

Pretty cool. I think they should have offered to sell the trip of watches including the movie prop replica. If they did, it might just be a large enough pill to swallow as a complete set and movie memorabilia. As they are separately and only the 2 quartz models, you really need to be a big fan of Dune and these particular designs to fork up that much money for them. OR, at least include a replica of the movie prop watch with each retail model. I mean I imagine the prop is likely mostly made of a solid block of some kind of painted plastic or resin and wouldn't cost that much to mass replicate as a bonus with the quartz watches. Hey, you could spend at least as much if not more for some Casio MR-G limited editions.. there are those who still bitch about such a high price for a quartz and digital watches. But there are also those that will still gladly pay for such to own something special l.
