NEW Hamilton Dune watches inspired by the prop they designed for the film

Hamilton is the reigning champion of watches on the silver screen, their watches having featured in over 500 major films since 1932. These horological cameos were more often than not limited to either the usage of vintage or existing models - sometimes remixed in a new colour scheme to tie into the movie. Other instances have required the development of an entirely new watch, even assisting in the development of the Murph prop watch with its morse-code stuttering second hand. As many of you likely already know, the long-awaited second part of Dune is coming to international theatres soon, beginning February 28th. And, surprise surprise, Hamilton adds Dune: Part Two to a long list of films they have assisted in with a watch.

I do agree with everyone but i also think everyone should realize they’re paying for an iconic piece. The ventura was the first electric watch and is often referred to as the Elvis watch, as its known to one of his favorites. Hamilton is also offering a gold model right now for $11k if you thought that was crazy lol

At that price you better have a thermo-compensator for the quartz to keep it at super high accuracy like those found in Omega, Breitling and even Grand Seiko. Otherwise it's just a joke for the asking price. Come on Hamilton, people weren't born yesterday.

Hamilton's Venturas already looked futuristic but this release brought out timepieces directly from the future. I especially like these blue numbers and lighting on the Ventura Edge Dune. However, for such as high price you could get something higher-end.

Big names need to explore more with digital displays and design like the second one. The quartz one is stupid. There is nothing there to justify the cost. No fancy finishing, no fancy dial work, nothing. I cant stand weird cases with what feels like the round movement forced into it. The dial and the rest of the watch separate when they do this. The digital one is sweet though, take it a step farther even!

What??? These 2 watches look nothing, nothing even in the slightest, like the movie prop. In a fast glance, knowing it's a "movie watch" I'd mistake it for the MIB watch. You'd have to explain to people that this is a Dune watch, and then explain how a watch that has no resemblance whatsoever to the movie prop translated into that "$1,750 Pulsar" on your wrist. AND... that looks like an acrylic crystal. Is it? HOWEVER!!!... This could turn out to be the greatest watch investment of all time since nobody is going to buy one.
