If you want to live in southern New Hampshire, generally considered south of Concord, bring money. Lots and lots of money.

Any recommendations for nice towns near Plymouth? Thanks.

Despite being more of a college town, Plymouth is relatively popular. I also like Bristol, Meredith and Lincoln, which is a bit further north.

Been comparing Vermont, New Hampshire, upstate NY, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Maine for a place to start a family. I'm well aware everything is expensive and the winters are brutal. Vermont I've spent the most time in, I'll be visiting Maine this summer via from Vermont so I'll be traveling through NH. If we're coming from Smugglers Notch in Vermont, where would you recommend going into NH for a day trip?

If you're coming through New Hampshire during the summer, I recommend spending some time in Lincoln. A lot of nice rivers, hiking trails, camp grounds and local restaurants. You could make your way further south, towards the seacoast. A lot of visitors enjoy walking around downtown Portsmouth.

How many people left in NH can pay for a 500000 house? I lived in Bow in 2008 when over night half the houses in town went into foreclosure. Get ready for the housing market to crash again soon. Houses are way overpriced and the property taxes are brutal .
