its single hose for outlet so need air from the outside room,not practically actualy coz poluttion and dust is easy enter to the room..better get portable air con with dual hose for outlet and inlet...

We usually use it without using portable hose and it is still fine and cold . Just a bit noisy 😁 we use sometime only as we have 1.5 h daikin AC in our room.

If you aren’t venting it then it won’t cool effectively. You’re just cooling the air in front while it dumps hot air out the back into your room. You want it to vent that hot air outside or it won’t work properly.

The single hose is the extractor hot air. The inlet is the back.

If I want to use it as a dehumidifier only, (I already have AC) do I need to use the hose/vents?

I bought is a portable air cond is not a dehumidifier. Cause this unit produce hot air from behind. It comes with a hose.

No, you always need to have an opening to expel the hot air

It could be the timer, you can reset it anytime
