Here in the Blue Ridge Mountains we have large Christmas tree businesses and wreath and roping. Wanted to decorate more outside but didn't pan out with a death in the family and now mom needing surgery. So glad I got to enjoy the spirit of Christmas by watching you have fun shopping. Marzipanstollen is from Germany :) It's amazing you have it there. Marzipan is an almond creame and stollen itself is compareable to a fruit loaf/ tea loaf that they make in the UK and Ireland! Hope that helps. It's really delicious tho, you gotta try it if you like dryed fruits!

All their parking lots are a nightmare! I've never been to a TJ that their parking lot isn't crazy. Parking spaces aren't even big enough for my compact car then let's add in an over abundance of huge SUV's. But love this place.

I got the mini chocolate mouse presents the other day. They are so good! And I am so jealous your store has the hot cocoa snowmen. My store has been sold out for over a week. An employee told me they had to put a limit on how many people could buy because they were buying in bulk.

Take your store bought gingerbread men and with the kids dip into dark chocolate and let them sprinkle various sprinkles on them. Make a batch on a cookie sheet. So fun and you mostly just taste the chocolate

I bought those Gingerbread men at TJ and hated them too! It was the real bits of Ginger in the cookie that ruined it. A little ginger goes a long way and chunks of real ginger in a cookie was overkill!

Sir walter raleigh is who raleigh is named after(our capitol city). If you ever visit go to mantel and see the lost colony and you'll learn more about sur walter raleigh. Fun fact that Andy Griffiths portrayed sir walter raleigh in the list colony and that is where he got his start before being on the Andy Griffiths show.
