New Holland 851 Baler Floor Chains

Have you had problems with straw blocking up between the pick up and the floor chains, mine get about a foot of hay on the floor and won't feed any more. Any help appreciated.

The time I have problems is if I get into parts of the field where the grass is dismal. It makes the windrows almost nothing. If it's too long windrow like that it will ball up between the pickup and floor chain. If I don't get a good windrow (taller interwoven hay) to push it in it will just build up. Eventually the machine will start puking hay out the front. Wish I could video it. The solution I've found is to either rake multiple windrows into 1 good size. Or if I'm too lazy to rake the field I will move to a good windrow or just abandon those dismal windrows.
