maybe i just suck at flying, but this drone in the wind was all over the place. And to be expected as it weights so little. But I have to say it was tough and super fun to fly and play around with. When you turn it on and lay it down it should be on a flat surface so the gyros can calibrate, just like any other drone or RC helicopter.

I really, really want a drone. But have absolutely no requirement or justification for one. This particular drone looks like an ideal starter/learner drone. Remember, there are licensing requirements that must be met from Transport Canada.

for sure. i have my beginner license. But this drone is super light and is under the 250g limit

Seriously, why would you even post a video like this? A two minute scan of the manual would have shown you all the basics, and it would have saved you from looking like a fool. For those who actually READ stuff, like the comments here: Power on drone, then transmitter. Left stick up, then down, pairs the controller with the drone. Both sticks down and to the right zeros the gyro. Both sticks down and inward towards each other unlocks the motors. Repeat to lock them. Lastly, don't be a dork and fly it in the house. If you're flying outside with anything more than about 4 MPH wind, make sure you have it set to FAST speed. Slow does not have enough power to overcome even light winds. There... now you can be up and running in under 2 minutes without reading the manual cover-to-cover. Now... for some real information, which is what I came here for in the first place: how does the camera storage work? There's NOTHING in the user manual that covers this. You can't just slap a Micro-SD card in, and roll with it. If you do that, you'll get all the beeps to make you think everything is working when you start/stop video and picture mode, but nothing will be getting saved to the SD card. Turns out the Micro-SD card MUST be formatted to FAT32 before the drone will save anything to the SD card (not exFAT, as another reviewer insisted). It took me a fair amount of screwing around to figure this out, and it seems nobody else covers this in their reviews. The point is - 1) I don't want to always have to fly with a phone connected to the drone, and 2) the drone saves to the SD card at a higher resolution than it saves to a connected phone. So... if you want to save your video and stills to the SD card, format a good quality Micro-SD card to FAT32 before inserting it into the card slot in the drone.

Do I need a license to fly it?

Not this one as it's under 250g. Anything over than yes. This drone..The 440 is an amazing starter drone.

Depends on where you live, In the U.S., you don't. I believe you do need a license if you live in a communist country like Canada.
