In today's video, I give you a tour of our large family homeschool room! This has been a highly requested video for years, and although our room has changed from house to house and year to year, this is my fave setup to date. I want to be clear that you do not need a dedicated room to homeschool your kids, so if you feel led to do so, it can be as simple as sitting on your living room couches! We have the space and it works for our family. I would love to see about that mor ing notebook in the younger kids drawers, and about the curriculum you use and how. I love your vlog channel, and really like how this is more about the Jenn side of things. You gave me a ton of ideas for our own homeschool room for next year. (My oldest is 3! I understand them wanting to be homeschooled, she begged us to go to preschool, so we set up an area and bought some TGATB curriculum and she has shocked us all at breezing through it! Everyone thinks we are crazy, so it was nice to see your 3 year old has her own area and "work" too!)

I know I commented as soon as you posted, but I still find myself referencing this! My oldest will be 4 this summer, and we will be moving where we will have the space for a homeschool and playroom. I love how this is set up, and we will be doing something very similar! I figure the youngest will have a spot to do puzzles and color u till shes old enough for schoolwork, and my oldest will have a nice space to organize her Bob books and TGATB curriculum! I would love to hear about what curriculum you use for your kids. The things you've tried, what you love, and how you decide what each kid at which age is going to do! I'm very new to this, and am always looking for any tips from those who know what they're doing. (:

I’ve used so many things at this point but we do love tgatb as well! We also use a lot of Abeka, apologia, math u see and teaching textbooks👍🏼

I love the way you’ve set up your homeschool. It gives them a feeling of being in a classroom. Because of this coronavirus, I’m seriously considering pulling my daughter out of public school. She is 12 now so not sure if that’s a good idea, but I’m concerned for her health. Can you give any tips on homeschool for middle schoolers? Thanks 🙏

I think a lot of people are concerned with everything going on in the world but I do also think you need to consider if you’d want to homeschool regardless of the situation we’re all in. It’s not a commitment we take lightly and even though we love it, it’s hard work and you have good days and bad. We have reasons for homeschooling that go beyond what’s happening and it helps take me back to why we started in the first place when things get rough.

We have 10 how do you schedule your day. How do they know what expected. Any advice for households that have a lot of non-readers struggling learners... Our kids are 6-13 and we have 4 readers.. (at about 2, 3, 5, 8th grade level reading) and a handful of struggling reader around K-2 grade and one nothing yet but he a preschool age level.

I may do a video sometime soon. Every day looks a little different around here. I’m pretty flexible with our schedule as long as we’re generally on track for the week. As for struggling readers, give it time, they’re still young. Read to them as much as you can and give them lots of chances to practice also!👍🏼
